Organizational evolution:

On April 2, 20 19, Zhejiang provincial government approved the establishment of Qiantang new district in Hangzhou, covering an area of 53 1.7 square kilometers. The scope of custody management includes two streets of Xiasha and Baiyang in Jianggan District, five streets of Hezhuang, Peng Yi, Wan Xin, Linjiang and Qianjin in Xiaoshan District, and other areas within the planning control of Dajiangdong Industrial Cluster (excluding Dangwan Town).

Location and environment—

Hangzhou is located in the south wing of China Yangtze River Delta, the west end of Hangzhou Bay, the lower reaches of Qiantang River and the southern end of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. It is an important central city in the Yangtze River Delta and a transportation hub in the southeast of China. The geographical coordinates of Hangzhou are11821'-kloc-0/2030' and 291'-3033' north latitude.

The geographic coordinates of the city center are 120 12' east longitude and 30 16' north latitude. The city origin (zero kilometer sign) is located at the coordinate origin of Weizi Garden in Shangcheng District. The coordinate origin of Weizi Garden is the center of Hangzhou from 19 13. Buildings, roads, water systems and places of interest in a city can all indicate their orientation and distance from the origin.
