Pingtan Island is the fifth largest island in China and the largest island in Fujian. The island is often filled with smog from the east, also known as Donglan. It is located in the southeast coast of China, in Pingtan County, Fujian Province, and is the main island of Pingtan County. It is only 68 nautical miles east of Hsinchu Port in Taiwan Province Province, which is the closest distance from Chinese mainland to Taiwan Province Province.
