There is Yan Hui Peak in Hengyang City, which is the first of the 72 peaks in Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue. In ancient times, geese flew south, so they stopped to live here, which is a metaphor for lack of communication. The geese chose to fly to Hengyang to avoid the cold because Hengshan Mountain in the north of Hengyang blocked the strong cold air blowing from the north in winter. In winter, the temperature in Hengyang at the southern foot of Hengshan Mountain is more than 2 degrees higher than that in Xiangtan in the north, which is relatively warm and suitable for biological shelter from the cold.
There is Yan Hui Peak in Hengyang City. It is said that geese fly south in autumn, stop at Yan Hui Peak in Hengyang, Hunan Province, and never fly south again.
There are many verses in poetry that link Hengyang with geese:
Wuxia, the ape is sad and tears, Hengyang Guiyan brings me the book.
Dongting spring is green, Hengyang geese fly.
