China tourism association is a national comprehensive tourism industry association composed of relevant organizations, enterprises and institutions in China tourism industry on the basis of equality and voluntariness, and has the status of an independent legal person. It was/kloc-0, the first tourism industry-wide organization officially announced in the State Council on October 30th, 1986, and was re-registered by the Ministry of Civil Affairs on March 24th, 1999. The Association accepts the leadership of the National Tourism Administration and the operational guidance, supervision and management of the Ministry of Civil Affairs. Its English name is China Tourism Association(CTA).

Purpose and task

China tourism association abides by the national constitution, laws, regulations and relevant policies, represents and safeguards the interests of the whole industry and the legitimate rights and interests of its members, carries out activities to serve members, industries and governments, and plays the role of a bridge between the government and members to promote the sustained, rapid and healthy development of China's tourism industry. Its main tasks are:

(a), tourism development strategy, tourism management system, the development trend of domestic and foreign tourism market, etc. , put forward opinions and suggestions to the national tourism administration department;

(two), to reflect the wishes and requirements of members to the competent department of business, to publicize the relevant government policies and regulations to members and assist their implementation;

(3) Organizing members to formulate rules and regulations and supervising their compliance, and maintaining the order of the tourism market;

(four), to assist the competent business departments to establish a tourism information network, do a good job in quality management, and accept the commission, to carry out planning consultation, personnel training, organize technical exchanges, hold exhibitions, sample surveys, safety inspections, and provide business guidance to tourism professional associations;

(five) to carry out foreign exchanges and cooperation;

(six) editing and publishing relevant materials and publications, and disseminating tourism information and research results;

(seven), to undertake other tasks entrusted by the competent department of business.

There are currently 163 directors in china tourism association, and the directors are elected by tourism management departments of provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government, cities with separate plans, key tourist cities, national tourism professional associations, large-scale tourism enterprise groups, tourist attractions (spots), tourism colleges, tourism scientific research and press and publication units and industry associations closely related to tourism. The composition of the association is broadly representative.
