Sanya Aviation Tourism Vocational College is a new private full-time higher vocational college approved by Hainan provincial government and reported to the Ministry of Education for the record. HNA Group, the fourth largest aviation group in China, was formally established in April 2005. The college is located at No.218, Fenghuang Road, Sanya, Hainan Province.

Adhering to the HNA concept of "honesty, performance and innovation" and the school motto of "dedication and happiness", the college aims at "doing something for the society and others", serving the country and returning to the society, closely combining the needs of civil aviation development and regional economic construction, implementing the combination of teaching and practice, and comprehensively promoting quality education to cultivate applied, skilled and entrepreneurial middle and senior aviation and tourism professionals.

The planned land area of the college is 1000 mu, and the first phase of the completed project covers an area of 200 mu, including teaching building, flight simulator training building, flight attendant training building and apartment building, with a construction area of more than 23,000 square meters. The flight simulator training building has installed two full-motion and six-degree-of-freedom Boeing 737 flight simulators with a total value of more than 36 million US dollars, and a fixed flight simulator with a total value of 6 million US dollars and corresponding supporting facilities, which has provided a strong guarantee for the training of civil aviation pilots at home and abroad. The college has 12 standard classrooms, 2 computer rooms, 2 language laboratories, 4 multimedia classrooms and 1 multimedia lecture halls. There are many teaching buildings, libraries, student activity centers, gymnasiums, life service centers, teachers' dormitories and student apartments in the second and third phases of the College.

HNA Group has provided a strong financial guarantee for the sustainable development of the College and laid a foundation for the rapid and healthy development of the College. The total investment of the first phase of the college project is 450 million yuan, of which the investment in infrastructure projects is 1. 1 billion yuan. The second phase of the college project plans to invest another 700 million yuan in three to five years, reaching the scale of 15 majors and 6,000 students.

In April 2005, the college obtained the school license with the code 1393 1. The college has more than 0/00 faculty members/kloc, and plans to recruit more than 30 full-time teachers and some part-time teachers this year. The college has signed cooperation agreements with many universities at home and abroad, which will provide sufficient teachers for the college.

While strengthening its own construction, the college strives to learn from the experience of universities in the same field at home and abroad. The College has reached cooperation intentions with Salzburg College of Tourism and Hotel Management, guangzhou civil aviation Vocational and Technical College, Shanghai Tourism College and South China Normal University, and signed cooperation agreements, and will carry out comprehensive cooperation in the exchange of school-running experience and the sharing of teaching resources.

Relying on six airlines, seven airports under HNA Group and seventeen star hotels, tourism and related industries all over the country, the College gives priority to providing graduates with broad employment space and bright development prospects.
