From Wuhan to Lhasa

In addition to the most famous Potala Palace, the main attractions are drepung monastery, Sera Temple, Xiaozhao Temple, Zongjiao Lu Kang, Tombs of Tibetan Kings, Chubu Temple, Lhasa Mosque, Qugong Site, Tibet Museum, Wang Yao and The Drikung Kagyu Temple Group. The main business districts are Barkhor Street, Yutu Road Pedestrian Street and Lhasa Department Store.

You'd better choose a hotel before going to Lhasa. Don't spend your energy on finding a hotel because of altitude sickness. You can go directly to Yutu Road, but it is difficult to find a suitable hotel in the tourist season. Most hotel waiters in Lhasa have low service awareness, so don't expect too much. Self-help tourists can choose Lhasa Armed Police Hotel, Snowland Hotel, Balangxue Hotel and Kerui Hotel. The price of a single room is about RMB 100. However, some people have to use public toilets. These hotels have simple accommodation procedures, including telephone (only to the city) and hot water (mostly provided within a limited time). There are many notes on the message boards of Balangxue Hotel and kirey Hotel Hospital to attract companions and sell surplus materials.
