Oracle Bone Inscriptions was discovered in Shandong, Chifeng and Guanzhong from the early 1950s to the early 20th century. Since 2004, it has been found in Changle, Shouguang, Zhangqiu and other places in Shandong Province. Some people, such as Hao and Xiao Guangde, think this is a group of bones with important value. Professor Fengjun Liu, a famous archaeologist, doctoral supervisor and director of the Institute of Fine Arts and Archaeology of Shandong University, found that this is a popular writing in Longshan culture period, which was 1000 years earlier than that of Oracle Bone Inscriptions, and named it "Oracle Bone Inscriptions".

At the end of 20 10, on the basis of Liu Jiaoshou's research, Ding Zaixian began to further decipher, study and demonstrate that the source and main producing area of Oracle Bone Inscriptions was in Shandong, and published the view that "Oracle Bone Inscriptions is the source of Chinese characters", which was recognized by many experts. By the end of June 20 13, 1 year, Ding Zaixian and his brother Ding Zaibin had decoded more than 340 Chinese characters and written them in five fonts: bone carving, Oracle Bone Inscriptions, bronze inscription, seal script and official script. Some words in Oracle bone inscriptions that have not been deciphered, interpreted incorrectly or inaccurately are explained one by one in the Interpretation of Dongyi Culture and Shandong Bone Carvings. Therefore, on March 3, 20 12, Shandong Academy of Social Sciences, Shandong Tourism Bureau and Shandong Literature, History, Painting and Calligraphy Research Association held a seminar for it, which was highly praised by experts and scholars attending the meeting. Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily, Economic Daily, Popular Daily, China Travel Daily, American Huaxing Daily, Cultural Monthly, Shandong TV Station, Xinhuanet, People's Daily, China Economic Net, Volkswagen Net, Shandong Net and other major websites have made long reports, and People's Daily, China Economic Net, Volkswagen Net and Shandong Net have specially set up columns on Dongyi Culture and Oracle Bone Inscriptions Studies for them, attracting worldwide attention.
