What are the attractions when traveling to Nan'ao Island during the Dragon Boat Festival?

Nanao Island is the only island county in Guangdong Province and the only county under the jurisdiction of Shantou City. As early as the Ming Dynasty, it had the title of "sea trade". It is only 11.8 nautical miles away from Shantou. It only takes 15 minutes to drive from Shantou to Nan'ao Island and cross the Nan'ao Bridge. Therefore, for people in Shantou and surrounding areas, it is the first choice for a quick vacation. Blue sky, blue sea, green island, golden sand and white waves, Nan'ao Island is indispensable for island landing, seaside life, bathing in the sea breeze and tasting seafood.

Qing’ao Bay on Nan’ao Island is known as the ‘Oriental Hawaii’. It is a rare shallow sea beach in China. The beach is white and the sea water is clean and pollution-free. It is one of the two A-level bathing beaches in Guangdong Province.

The island has a long cultural history and numerous cultural relics. Zhannan Pavilion, Songjing, Treasure Island, General Military Mansion, Huanghuashan Forest Park, Qing'ao Bay, wind farm, etc. are all scenic spots scattered on the island. But this is the largest island wind farm in Asia, with a total of 111 automatic wind turbines.

The fishermen here are very dedicated and live in fishing villages by the sea. There are many fishing boats on both sides of the coast, the fishing village is backed by green mountains, and the windmills on the top of the mountain are spinning. The blue sky, white clouds, green mountains and sea water make it like a paradise.
