Introduction of Yanping Lake

Known as "the clearest and most beautiful mountains and rivers in the southeast", Yanping Lake has a unique natural landscape and is a new tourist attraction in Nanping, a "green treasure house" in northern Fujian. Yanping Lake is an artificial lake formed in 1993 after Shuikou Hydropower Station was completed and impounded. Named after Nanping's ancient name "Yanping House", the former Fujian Provincial Party Secretary Xiangnan inscribed Yanping Lake. Watertown starts from Gaozhou Village, Zhang Hu Town, Yanping District in the east and borders Nanping City in the northwest, with a total length of 67 kilometers and an area of more than 65,438,000 square kilometers, ranking first in Fujian Province. Yanping Lake has 66 bays and hundreds of tributaries. In midsummer, boating on the lake is surrounded by mountains; The shore is shaded by trees and bamboo forests. The main scenic spots along the lake are Cui Mingting, Shuangxi Building, Yanshou Building, Shuangjian Pagoda, Gu Yue Island, Dazhou Island, Chayang Kiln Site in Song Dynasty, Coral Island and Snake King Temple.
