The best route for a one-day trip to Mount Tai?

The most classic middle line of the Hongmen Road hike is actually the middle line of the Dengfeng Imperial Road: Daimiao-Hongmen-Daiding, this ancient traditional route.

Mount Tai is closely connected to the mountain city of Tai'an City, which is located at the southern foot of Mount Tai. Mount Tai is located due north of Tai'an City. On a clear day, the main peak of Mount Tai, Yuhuangding, is clearly visible. There are four official ticket-selling entrances to Mount Tai, namely: the entrance to Hongmen Palace, the entrance to Tianwai Village (Tiandi Square), the entrance to Taohuayu, and the entrance to Tianzhu Peak.

Taian is an hour’s drive from Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport. Tai'an is close to Mount Tai, and behind the mountain is Jinan, the provincial capital. Tai'an has Beijing-Taiwan Expressway, Beijing-Shanghai Expressway, Beijing-Shanghai Railway and Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway passing through it. By high-speed rail, it takes less than 2 hours to get to Beijing and about 3 hours to Shanghai.

Historical value:

Mount Tai was regarded by the ancients as a paradise that "directly leads to the throne of the emperor". It became a sacred mountain worshiped by the people and a sacred mountain for emperors to offer sacrifices. There is a saying that "if Mount Tai is safe, all the world will be safe" statement.

From Qin Shihuang to the Qing Dynasty, 13 generations of emperors successively visited Mount Tai to enshrine or offer sacrifices in person, and 24 generations of emperors sent officials to offer sacrifices 72 times. There are more than 20 ancient building groups and more than 2,200 stone tablets and stone carvings left on the mountain.

On November 8, 1982, Mount Tai was included in the first batch of national scenic spots. On December 12, 1987, Mount Tai was listed as a world cultural and natural heritage. On March 7, 2007, it was rated as a national AAAAA tourist attraction.
