What are the famous attractions in Cambodia?

Cambodia has the following famous tourist attractions:

Angkor Temple

The huge and well-preserved Angkor ruins are regarded as the representatives of the Angkor ruins group.

Beng Mealea

Beng Mealea is a small Angkor Wat-style temple, and its name means "Lotus Pond". This temple is located 40 kilometers east of the Angkor monuments. Beng Meili is a Hindu temple, but some of its sculptures reflect Buddhist themes. The original material used to build this temple was sandstone, so many of the buildings have been damaged and are difficult to restore. When you arrive at Beng Melie, you will find that today's Beng Melie is very similar to what it looked like when foreign explorers discovered Angkor: the temple collapsed badly, was covered by trees, and there was no way out. Without a guide, you have no idea how to get through this massive ruin. Friends who have watched the movie "Tomb Raider" must still have an impression of Ta Prohm Temple. It gives people a strange feeling, while the collapse of the Meili Temple brings shock to people. As you go deeper into the scenic area where Bengmil Tower is located, you will also find plank roads. This plank road is also related to a movie. It was built during the filming of the movie "Tiger Brothers".

Queen's Palace

Queen's Palace, which means "women's castle", is world-famous for its bright colors and exquisite reliefs. It is said to have been built and carved by women. The Queen's Palace, one of the "Three Great Temples of Cambodia", was built in 967 by the Rajendravarman II dynasty and completed in 1002 by the Jayavarman V dynasty. This Hindu temple is dedicated to Shiva, one of the three major gods of Brahmanism. Unlike other Angkor monuments that use green sandstone as a material, the Queen's Palace uses a large amount of red sandstone as a building material. The color is extremely bright and is also conducive to carving complex and delicate patterns.

Ta Prohm Temple

Ta Prohm Temple was built in 1186. It is a temple dedicated to his mother by the ancient King of Angkor. The architectural style is the same as that of Bayon Temple. A very mysterious attraction in Ge Cave. The entire temple is surrounded by dense trees that have been entangled for thousands of years, like the scene of a fierce battle between gods and nature. With its unique romantic temperament, "In the Mood for Love" and "Tomb Raider" both chose this place as a filming location. You can also trace a memory of light and shadow when you visit here. The tour route is recommended to enter through the east gate and exit through the west gate, so that you can see the "Dancer Gallery" with rows of fairy reliefs.

Bayon Temple

Bayon Temple (Bayon) is located in the center of Angkor Thom. Its corridors are 160 meters long from east to west and 140 meters long from north to south. There were originally two towers above the corridors. It has a wooden roof, but due to its age, only the broken walls and huge stone pillars remain for future generations to pay homage to. It is worth mentioning that the walls of the temple still contain rich and vivid carvings. Records of ancient wars, the daily lives of ordinary people, and the scenery of the Tonle Sap Lake fully reveal the scene at that time. It is definitely a must-see. A precious historical site to see. The vivid murals seem to tell distant stories. The famous Khmer Smile is located on the top floor of Bayon Temple. There are 54 pagodas, each with four sides, each with a different expression, and a total of 216 different Khmer smiles.
