When traveling to Jiuzhai and Huanglong, is it better to go to Jiuzhaigou or Huanglong first?

From the three aspects of itinerary arrangement, transportation mode and accommodation, whether to go to Jiuzhaigou or Huanglong first has its own advantages.

1. Itinerary: Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong Scenic Areas are both famous tourist attractions in Sichuan. Each place requires at least one day to visit. If you go to Jiuzhaigou first, you can visit the main attractions of Jiuzhaigou on the first day, such as Arrow Bamboo Sea, Panda Sea, Wuhua Sea, Pearl Beach, Changhai, etc. On the second day, go to Huanglong Scenic Area and visit the main attractions of Huanglong Valley, such as Wucai Pond, Huanglong Temple, Huanglong Creek, etc. On the contrary, if you go to Huanglong first, you can visit the main attractions of Huanglong Valley on the first day and go to Jiuzhaigou Valley on the second day.

2. Transportation: There are direct buses from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong. However, the distance from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou is relatively long (about 450 kilometers) and takes about 10 hours by car; while the distance from Chengdu to Huanglong is relatively short (about 320 kilometers) and takes about 6 hours by car. Therefore, if time is limited, you can go to Huanglong first and then to Jiuzhaigou; if you have plenty of time, you can go to Jiuzhaigou first and then Huanglong.

3. Accommodation: There are hotels and inns of various grades to choose from in Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong. If you want to rest as soon as possible after visiting Huanglong, you can choose to stay in a hotel in Huanglong; if you want to rest as soon as possible after visiting Jiuzhaigou, you can choose to stay in a hotel in Jiuzhaigou.

In general, whether to go to Jiuzhaigou or Huanglong first mainly depends on personal preference and time arrangement. Both attractions are well worth a visit. No matter which place you go to first, you can enjoy the magnificent natural scenery and profound cultural heritage.
