Dragonflies come in a variety of colors, including red, yellow, black, grass green and flower colors. The dragonfly is an insect that is good at flying. It can be compared with the speed of the women's 100-meter sprint world champion, and is about as fast as a running train.

The dragonfly’s long wings support its body smoothly and fly freely, and even a small wind will not cause it to sway. Above the leading edge of each wing of a dragonfly, there is a beautiful thickened horny part, biologically called wing nevus or wing eye, which plays a role in smooth flight.

The flight speed is 50 to 70 kilometers per hour. Its long-range flight is even more amazing. There is a species of dragonfly that can travel from the east coast of England across the sea to France. There is also a sea dragonfly that can fly from near the equator to Japan. Australian sea dragonflies can fly from the Australian mainland to cruise in the sea 500 kilometers away from the mainland, a round trip of 1,000 kilometers. Therefore, the flying ability of dragonflies is very famous in the insect world.

Based on this revelation, people added a counterweight to the wings of the aircraft, thus avoiding accidents in which violent vibrations often cause control failure or even broken wings when the aircraft is flying at high speed.

The eyes of insects are unique. Each of their eyes is almost composed of thousands of small hexagonal eyes closely arranged. Each small eye has its own system, with its own refractive system and sensory cells, and all have vision. This kind of strange eye is called a "compound eye" in zoology.

The dragonfly’s compound eyes are the largest and most numerous in the insect world, accounting for 2/3 of the total head area.
