Tourist attractions in Xue Jiawan

Xue Jiawan's tourist attractions include Pinus tabulaeformis King Tourist Area, Pi Si Tong Water Conservancy Scenic Area, Qijiawan Town, Wanjiazhai Water Recreation Center, and Twelve Liancheng Ruins.

1, Pinus tabulaeformis King Tourist Area

Pinus tabulaeformis King Tourist Area is located in Na Risong Town, Zhungeer Banner. According to the expert 1979 of China Academy of Forestry, the plant height is 26 meters, DBH 1.34 meters, the volume 13.5 cubic meters, and the tree age is 893 years. An expert from Chinese Academy of Sciences once praised: "There is no leader in Daxinganling, and a tree in Zhungeer Banner is king". According to the age calculation, this tree was naturally born in Xining period in northern Song Shenzong, and it is the oldest Chinese pine found at present, so it is called "King of Chinese Pine" and 1996 is listed as a key cultural relic protection unit at the autonomous region level.

2. Soft sandstone water conservancy scenic spot

Soft sandstone water conservancy scenic spot is located in Wenshui Town, Zhungeer Banner, Ordos City. It is a water and soil conservation scenic spot with an area of 677.7 square kilometers, which was built on the basis of sand retaining project in the middle reaches of the Yellow River where coarse sediment is concentrated. The scenic spot presents a typical loess landform with criss-crossing gullies, exposed sandstone and unique geological landscape. It used to be the most serious area of soil erosion, accounting for 92.5% of the total area of the flag.

According to folklore, this city was built by She Taijun, Yang Jiajiang in the Northern Song Dynasty. However, according to Yuanhe County Records, Twelve Liancheng was originally Yulin City in Shengzhou of Sui and Tang Dynasties, and was built in the third year of Wendi (583). At that time, the city was in a strategic position, with the Yellow River natural barrier in the north and the Central Plains in the south.
