When a guest died in a foreign land, female college students were killed and dumped when they traveled abroad. What happened later?

Introduction

I don't know if you have seen the Japanese suspense movie "Sea Ghost Lantern". This movie is extremely scary, and many people will get goose bumps after watching it. In fact, this movie is adapted from a real case.

In April, 199, a Japanese female college student named Mariko, who was traveling in Taiwan Province, was unfortunately killed by evil men and abandoned her body. This incident not only attracted great attention from the society and the government, but also severely impacted the tourism industry in Taiwan Province.

Why on earth did this Japanese female college student disappear in Taiwan Province? Did the murderer get caught at last? Let's review this case with Xiaobian.

Back to the source of the case

Mariko, a senior student at Yuchai Women's University in Tokyo, Japan, boarded a flight to Taiwan Province alone on April 2, 199, and started her journey.

On the evening of April 2nd, after arriving in Taiwan Province, she stayed at Taipei International Youth Home, and began to visit Taipei on April 3rd. On the morning of the 4th, after sending a postcard to her family in Japan, she took the Ziqiang to Tainan.

During the train running, he met a young man named Li and complained at his home on the evening of 4th. And for the next two days (5th and 6th), the man led her to visit Tainan City.

On the morning of the 7th, Mariko sent a letter to his family to report that he was safe. In the afternoon, he was going to take the Fuxing with the man surnamed Li. But around 12 noon that day, after they arrived at the ticket gate of Kaohsiung Station, there was no news of Mariko and Mariko disappeared.

Mariko at the wellhead booked a plane ticket back to Japan on April 18th, but Mariko's mother, who went to pick her up, waited all day without waiting for her daughter to appear.

On April 25th, Mariko's mother embarked on a journey to Taiwan Province to find her daughter. However, she didn't find the missing Mariko, so she turned to the Japan Exchange Association and called the police.

Follow-up of the case

Because this case had a great impact on the local tourism industry in Taiwan Province, the Taiwan Province Municipal Government attached great importance to this case, and the Police Department ordered the police organs in all counties and cities in Taiwan Province to conduct a search. On June 27th, the police issued a very high reward order for this case.

The police immediately investigated the man surnamed Li, but there was nothing suspicious about his whereabouts and statements, so he was ruled out as a suspect.

On July 7th, the police received a tip that Mariko had been killed and buried in Xinshi Township, Tainan County, but nothing was found after the search.

In October of the same year, the police found a clue that the victim had taken a taxi before he disappeared, and asked the taxi driver Liu Xueqiang, but because of his mental disorder, nothing was found.

On January 4, 1991, the police found a female corpse in Houli Township, Taichung County, but through the comparison of dental X-rays, it was found that it was not Mariko himself.

On March 4th of the same year, the task force got a tip based on the interview and investigation. Liu Xueqiang, the taxi driver who had been asked, was very suspicious, so he was arrested again. After the interrogation, Liu Xueqiang could not resist the inner pressure and confessed his crime.

The story of the case

On April 7, 199, Liu Xueqiang saw Mariko, a beautiful girl who was alone, and accosted her. After discovering that she was Japanese, she invited her to her home and took her to play nearby.

That night, because he coveted Mariko's beauty, he took the opportunity to invade Mariko, but his behavior was strongly resisted by Mariko.

Being rejected, he became angry from embarrassment. The next morning, he shot four arrows at Mariko's head with a crossbow, cut off his head, wrapped the body in sheets and scattered it, and burned it.

The police searched and found Mariko's body, which had become a broken bone, and was cremated and transported to Japan by his mother. But it is a great pity that Mariko's head has not been found so far.

On November 24th, 1991, Kaohsiung District Court sentenced Liu Xueqiang to death, but because of his mental abnormality, he was sentenced to life imprisonment and deprived of public rights for life.

Last words

The university students who traveled abroad were killed, which dealt a severe blow to the tourism industry in Taiwan Province at that time. The criminal was carried away by lust and killed the victim brutally, which brought incalculable adverse effects to the society.

In p>24, a college student from Taiwan Province suffered the same experience as Mariko when traveling to Japan, which was very sad.

Finally, I hope the dead can rest in peace. There are no demons in heaven.
