Do I need to turn off international roaming when traveling to Thailand?

If you travel to Thailand, you generally don't need to close international roaming. Because if you use a domestic mobile phone number, you will automatically switch to the local mobile network operator when you use it in Thailand, and you can continue to use your mobile phone to surf the Internet and make calls.

However, it should be noted that due to the high cost of international roaming, there may be additional costs when using mobile phones for Internet access, text communication or telephone service. In order to avoid the high communication cost, we can consider buying a local operator's SIM card and inserting it into the mobile phone after arriving in Thailand. Compared with international roaming, local SIM card has lower cost and can get more traffic and talk time.
