What are the six prohibitions?

The central government has recently issued "eight regulations and six prohibitions", six of which are:

1. It is strictly forbidden to use public funds to conduct New Year greeting activities such as mutual visits, gift-giving, and banquets. All localities and departments should vigorously streamline various tea parties and get-togethers, strictly control year-end evaluation and commendation activities, and do not conduct holiday condolences between units, and must not hold various holiday celebrations without approval. It is strictly forbidden to use public funds to give gifts or entertain guests between superiors and subordinates, between departments, between units, or within units. All localities are not allowed to hold nostalgia talks, tea parties, group visits and other activities at the locations of provincial and municipal government agencies. Any arrangements that have been made must be cancelled. Party and government cadres at all levels are not allowed to accept banquets arranged by subordinate units, and are not allowed to participate in festival celebrations of subordinate units without approval.

2. It is strictly prohibited to present local specialties to superior departments. All localities, departments and units are not allowed to give away local specialties, including various delivery coupons, to superior departments for any reason or in any form. Party and government cadres at all levels are not allowed to accept souvenirs and delivery coupons donated by subordinate units for any reason, including grassroots research. Party and government agencies at all levels must strictly enforce discipline requirements, strengthen management, and prevent the acceptance and distribution of local specialties in the agency.

3. It is strictly prohibited to receive or send gifts, gifts, securities, payment vouchers and commercial prepaid cards in violation of regulations. Leading cadres at all levels must strictly control themselves and be strict with themselves. They must resolutely reject gifts, gratuities, securities, payment vouchers and commercial prepaid cards that may affect the fair execution of official duties. It is strictly forbidden to use weddings, funerals and other events to take advantage of the opportunity to make money.

4. It is strictly prohibited to distribute money and materials indiscriminately, show pomp and extravagance, and engage in extravagance and waste. All localities and departments are not allowed to spend money in various names at the end of the year and issue allowances, subsidies, bonuses and physical goods indiscriminately; they are not allowed to print, sell, purchase and use various token shopping vouchers (cards) in violation of regulations; they are not allowed to borrow various tokens Organize and participate in high-consumption entertainment and fitness activities paid for with public funds in any name; are not allowed to use public funds to organize sightseeing tours, arrange private vacation tours, overseas (overseas) travel and other activities; are not allowed to use public buses in violation of regulations, or use public buses during festivals Private use.

5. Excessive reception is strictly prohibited. Leading cadres' grassroots research, participation in meetings, inspection work, etc. must strictly comply with the relevant requirements of the central and provincial committees.

6. Organizing and participating in gambling activities is strictly prohibited. Party members and cadres at all levels must fully understand the serious harm of gambling and never organize or participate in any form of gambling activities.
