: Preparation before traveling
1. Obtain the "Two Permits"
1. "Mainland Residents Travel Permit to and from Taiwan", referred to as "Mainland Permit"
p>
2. "Taiwan Entry and Exit Permit", referred to as "Taiwan Entry Permit"
It is recommended to go directly to Taobao or a travel agency.
You need to provide a two-inch photo, the front and back of the ID card, the personal page of the household registration book, the home page of the mainland card, the endorsement page of the mainland card, the front and back of the emergency contact's ID card, financial proof of annual income of 120,000, and entry and exit from Taiwan. time.
2. Book air tickets and accommodation
1. The earlier you book, the cheaper it is. You can check out several websites, such as Ctrip, Mafengwo Special Offers, etc. If you have enough points to redeem, you can redeem 20,000 points for a single trip, and you only need to pay about 350 yuan in tax.
2. If you want to stay, it is recommended to stay in a cost-effective B&B. You can check it out on several travel apps.
3. Turn on GSM
You can call the customer service of the corresponding operator to find out. Basically, there are special packages available for several days.
4. A big suitcase, but don’t bring too many clothes.
1. Now, the weather in Taipei is the same as that in Xiamen, about 25 degrees Celsius. However, because the air conditioning in major shopping malls and other public places in Taipei seems to be free, and the air conditioning is turned on very loudly, it is recommended to bring a light jacket. Although hotels/B&Bs all have toiletries, I personally like to use my own toiletries, so I always bring them with me.
February and April are the rainy season, so you still need to bring rain gear;
3. You can bring 20-inch luggage, because you will definitely buy it at buybuy~ (you can store it in a hotel/B&B anyway)
5. Prepare a UnionPay card or a Visa card
Although Alipay is now accepted in most areas of Taipei, it is still recommended to prepare a UnionPay card or a Visa card.
When you arrive at Taipei Airport, you must go to the service area to buy an Easy Card and recharge it. Convenience stores, 7-11, FamilyMart and other buses can be used directly (Taipei’s buses are very convenient, you don’t need to take a taxi unless you have special needs. Personally, I think taxis are very expensive)
