Jieyang City, a prefecture-level city in Guangdong Province, is located in the southeast of Guangdong Province, spanning 115°36 to 116°37'39" east longitude and 2253' to 23°4639" north latitude, with Meizhou in the north and Meizhou in the south. It faces the South China Sea, borders Shantou and Chaozhou to the east, and Shanwei to the west. It is at an important connection point between the Pearl River Delta and the economic belt on the west coast of the Taiwan Strait. It has always been an important transportation hub in eastern Guangdong, southern Jiangxi, and southwestern Fujian.

Climate Characteristics of Jieyang

Jieyang has a subtropical monsoon climate, with abundant sunshine and abundant rainfall. There is no snow and little frost all year round. The annual average temperature is 21.4°C, and the total annual solar radiation is per square centimeter. 115-156 kcal, with an average annual precipitation between 1720-2100 mm (1703.0 mm in 2015). It is one of the regions with the richest light, heat and water resources in China.
