First, Baiyangyu Great Wall:

Baiyangyu Mountain is a dangerous mountain. Guanyin Pavilion is the most popular place in Baiyangyu. Guanyin, Ruyi Guanyin, Songzi Guanyin, Red Line Bodhisattva and Manjusri Bodhisattva were originally enshrined in the Hall of the Great Hero. People go to worship when they are studying, seeking peace and marriage. Guanyin Pavilion was rebuilt on May 8, 2004 and burned down on May 8, 2008. It has survived for 6 years, full of mystery.

Yangquan is an excellent natural mineral water, which gurgles out from the cracks in the rocks and has a long water flow. Rich in trace elements, sweet and delicious. People who come to Baiyangyu for sightseeing like to take a sip of water from Yangquan.

Baiyang Guancheng is surrounded by mountains and waters. Since the early Ming Dynasty, a village with a river in the east and a mountain in the west has been formed. Later, a castle was built with stones and bricks. The wall is 4.7 meters high and its circumference is 1048 meters. It has an east gate and a south gate (Jinggao Gate). There are fifty families living in the castle.

According to legend, when Emperor Qianlong went to Baiyangyu incognito, he happened to see a beautiful village woman running past the village head. Emperor Qianlong, who lived in the palace compound for a long time, was very novel about this ordinary farm work, so he stopped to watch it carefully. I saw the village woman dressed in coarse clothes, but with fine features and graceful figure. Emperor Qianlong was moved by the beauty and diligence of this woman. Suddenly, he had an epiphany and made a great contribution to poetry. He wrote a poem called "Look at Rolling Poetry", which has been passed down through the ages as a beautiful story.

Eleven or seven pine trees climb very high.

There are seven pine trees (only four at present) in the south mountain of Baiyangyu, which are arranged in a straight line from the mountainside to the top of the mountain. The shape of the trees is similar to that of Luo, and it is a landscape of "seven pines climbing high".

Gong's family took the initiative to say hello, only to know that they are all Jiangnan people, who like to travel and love poetry. The Gong family enthusiastically introduced them to Baiyangguan, but they disagreed, thinking that Baiyangguan was far from the mountains and rivers in the south and could not be compared. Not convinced, Xiao Gong decided to make friends with Shi and compare with others. Hearing this, everyone is interested. They sat on the floor, arranged themselves, finished the last sentence, and let Xiao Gong's family answer the next one.

XIV. Garrison

The garrison was founded in Qin Long in the Ming Dynasty, located in the ancient castle of Baiyangdian. It is the place where the troops along the Great Wall give orders, and it is also the power symbol of military affairs command. , Shi, Qi Jiguang, and Governor Daming Right were stationed here, so they were called "Duchayuan". The current garrison was rebuilt on the original site of Duchayuan. In 2009, the municipal government, town government, tourism bureau and other units excavated and sorted out the historical and cultural resources of Baiyangyu, determined the former site of the garrison by consulting relevant documents and visiting the masses, and rebuilt the garrison on the basis of the former site.

Seeing this, the garrison adults immediately ordered the delivery of city bricks in this way. The goat carrying bricks not only accelerated the construction of the Great Wall, but also saved the lives of countless migrant workers. In order to commemorate and thank the white sheep in the mountains, people specially built this Yuyang Pavilion in the place where white sheep often haunt.

According to legend, Emperor Taizong fought against Liao soldiers in Baiyangdian. Liao soldiers refused to defend Dongshan with Baiyangdian, but Tang soldiers were helpless. General Li Jing invited the tortoise to help. The tortoise swallowed the jujube into the river, and the Tang soldiers crossed the river and defeated the Liao soldiers. The tortoise turned into a mountain, lying in the north, lifelike. At this time, although the Baiyang River is full of springs and green water flows all year round, there is water in the withered turtle's eyes and no water in the turtle's tail, which is called "seeing from the tail", which is a great spectacle of Baiyangdian.

18. Sleeping City

Baiyangyu Great Wall has four characteristics, one of which is Liecheng. Fierce cities are built on the commanding heights on both sides of Shuiguan, which is easy to defend but difficult to attack. Its area is about 3000 square meters, which is half the size of a football field. What is the role of the city of lies? On one hand, it can be used to confuse the enemy. Seen from the foot of the mountain, Liecheng thinks itself an important military institution, which makes the enemy mistakenly think that this is the headquarters of the Great Wall. On the other hand, it can be used to store horses, hay, soldiers and so on. Liecheng has high scientific value and ornamental value. It is an original creation in the defense system of Baiyangyu Great Wall and a unique defense engineering facility in Jichang Town.

There are various passes in the Great Wall of Wan Li, but there are not many water passes, and there are even fewer water passes left in the world. The mountains on both sides of Baiyang River are high and steep. Qi Jiguang, a famous general who presided over the northern military affairs in the Ming Dynasty, built Baiyangshui Pass here to guard the land and water, which played an important role in preventing the invasion of the northern enemy.

Baiyangshui Guandong is connected with the Great Wall. There is an enemy building near the water at the head of Shuiguandong, and the upper floor is a hilltop building, which is magnificent for the soldiers guarding the customs to make enemies. Shuikansai is connected with the cliff, and the city is located on the cliff. Shuiguan is 68 meters long and 5 meters wide. The upper part is Luoaima Road, and there are four water holes below. The easternmost water tunnel is equipped with two gates, which is the only passage between north and south. Once you find the enemy, close the gate and pedestrians can't pass. The other three water tunnels are equipped with crossing fences in wartime to prevent the enemy from entering with the water. There are forts on the east and west sides of Shuiguan, and two cannons on each side to ensure the safety of Shuiguan. A flash flood in the 1960s washed away the vicissitudes of Aries Shuiguan. Today, the foundation of the waterfront watchtower at Shuiguan Dongtou is still well preserved.
