Red Huai Yu Tour

On the weekend, Merida Cycling Club organized activities to challenge the 18km Huai Yu Tianlu and experience the red culture of Huaiyu Mountain.

at 7 o'clock in the morning, riders dressed in colorful riding clothes and carrying their beloved "war colts" arrived at the East Lake assembly point one after another, packed and loaded, and headed for the mountainous area of Huai Yu at the junction of Dexing and Yushan.

The purpose of this trip is mainly to challenge Panshan Highway by riding, and at the same time, visit the red base of Huaiyushan, including the monument of the anti-Japanese advance team going north, the memorial hall, the memorial place of the Red Ten Army Corps, the poverty-stricken garden, etc., and receive patriotic education. In the afternoon, visit the Tiger-shaped Scenic Spot in Yufeng Village, the bicycle aerial plank road and the Eighteen Longtan Scenic Spot.

At about 1: a.m., the motorcade arrived at the foot of Huaiyu Mountain. After a short loading and debugging, the cycling team of 11 people set off, followed by the logistics vehicle, making preparations for replenishment and taking photos with the vehicle.

Huaiyushan Panshan Highway is flat and wide, with beautiful scenery, winding and winding. The cliff is engraved with a huge red word "Lovely China", and the observation deck at the top of the mountain overlooks the magnificent peaks of Huaiyushan, which are undulating continuously. Nearby, the winding mountain road is like a jade belt dancing. Our hiking team first took a bus to the scenic spot halfway up the mountain, where the view was wide and the beautiful scenery of Huaiyu Mountain was panoramic. Everyone was excited to take pictures. About half an hour later, a rider came up. Although riding was difficult, the warriors were very excited and full of confidence. Xiao Dong, the group owner, took the lead, followed by the rider "Great Wall", and Master Nie and Lao Li soon followed. Everyone excitedly cheered for them, admiring their riding endurance and spirit. Huaiyushan Highway is very suitable for cyclists to challenge themselves, and it is a good place to test the endurance and skills of cyclists.

At noon, our hiking team first reached the top of Huai Yu. We were surprised that there was a flat and open land of about five or six square kilometers. After the tour, we realized that it was actually a valley basin, surrounded by towering peaks, and there was a Yufeng village in the valley. It is located in Huaiyushan Basin with an altitude of nearly 1, meters and an area of 6.5 square kilometers. The average annual temperature here is 12-16 degrees Celsius, and the average temperature in July is 23 degrees Celsius. It is a very good summer resort, because "the summer night is covered and the peaches in beginning of autumn begin to ripen".

There are dozens of families scattered in the village, and most of them run tourist inns and farmhouses. We chose one of them, and the owner was a hospitable couple, who enthusiastically introduced us to the local beauty, food and customs. They also have chickens, ducks and some vegetables and fruits in their yard, all of which are original ecological and pollution-free organic foods.

At 1: noon, the cycling team and the hiking team meet and have dinner at the Tiger-shaped scenic spot farmhouse inn. Two tables full of original ecological dishes are really good. Everyone thinks that the dishes are very distinctive, inexpensive and cheap. After a full meal and a little rest, we set out for the 18th Longtan.

The 18th Longtan Scenic Area is located in the Yungaifeng Gorge in Huaiyushan, with a total length of about 4.5 kilometers and a drop of 6 meters. It is abundant in water. It consists of several waterfalls and deep pools. The sound of water is sometimes awkward and sometimes roaring, just like a beautiful symphony. The valleys are faint, the vegetation is lush, and the cliffs are steep. Although there is a plank road, it is still difficult to get up and down, and the legs and feet are shaking. Listen to the villagers.

Huaiyu Mountain gives people a sense of beautiful scenery, flat land, picturesque houses and beautiful environment. The steep mountains, towering peaks, wonderful and beautiful, strange rocks with different shapes, and the ingenuity of nature are shocking; The spectacular highway around the mountain, especially the tragic deeds of the Red Ten Army, makes people deeply feel that today's good life is hard to come by and should be cherished.

Although the tour was short, I not only enjoyed the pleasure of successfully challenging a slope of more than ten kilometers on a hot summer day, but also experienced the pleasure of listening to waterfalls and springs in the deep valley of Eighteen Longtan. At the same time, the mind also felt a red baptism. The harvest is very rich, meaningful and worthwhile.
