Xikang province, founded in 1939, was withdrawn in 1955 and merged into Sichuan and Tibet provinces. Covering an area of 53, square kilometers, Kangding is the provincial capital.
Jehol province, which was founded in 1914 (at this time, it was called the province in 1928), was withdrawn in 1955 and merged into Hebei, Liaoning and Inner Mongolia provinces. Covering an area of 18, square kilometers, Chengde is the provincial capital.
Chahar province, which was founded in 1913 (it was called the province in 1928), was withdrawn in 1952 and merged into Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Shanxi and Beijing. Covering an area of 28, square kilometers, Zhangjiakou, the provincial capital.
Suiyuan province, founded in 1914 (Suiyuan Special Zone at this time, called the province in 1928), was withdrawn in 1954 and merged into Inner Mongolia. Covering an area of 33, square kilometers, the provincial capital is Guisui (now Hohhot).
Nine Provinces in Northeast China: After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War in 1945, the government of the Republic of China decided to divide Northeast China into nine provinces, namely Liaoning Province, Anton Province, Northern Liaoning Province, Jilin Province, Songjiang Province, Hejiang Province, Heilongjiang Province, Nenjiang Province and Xing 'an Province, that is, each of the original three provinces was divided into three provinces. (Anton province and northern Liaoning province were originally part of Liaoning province; Songjiang province and Hejiang province were originally part of Jilin province; Nenjiang Province and Xing 'an Province were originally part of Heilongjiang Province). Pingyuan Province: On August 1st, 1949, the People's Government of North China issued a decree to establish Pingyuan Province, and on August 2th, Pingyuan Province was formally established and located in Xinxiang City. The land source of Pingyuan province is the original Henan, Shandong and Hebei provinces. It covers an area of 5 thousand square kilometers. Revoked in 1952.
