Urban traffic in Phnom Penh
Phnom Penh is not only the political, economic, cultural and religious center of Cambodia, but also the transportation center of Cambodia and one of the important transportation hubs of zhina. Bocheng East International Airport, 8 kilometers southwest of Phnom Penh, can take off and land large planes, from which it can fly to Battambang, Siem Reap, Kompong Chhnang and other cities, as well as all over the world. Many tourists who travel to Thailand will change planes here, and most of them use micro-donkey line splicing to reduce transportation costs. Phnom Penh is an inland river port. 3,000-4,000 tons of seagoing vessels descend from the Mekong River along the golden edge and can sail directly into the South China Sea through South Vietnam. In the rainy season, from Phnom Penh to Mekong River, 4,000 tons of ships can reach Kompong Cham and Kratie, and 200 tons of ships can reach Shangding, an important town in northeastern Cambodia. Through tonle sap river, you can enter Tonle Sap Lake, the largest lake in Indo-China Peninsula, and it is also a freshwater fish warehouse in Cambodia. The only two railways in Cambodia meet in Phnom Penh. The Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Railway passes through Gandan, Kampong Speu, Chajiao and Kampot, leading to Sihanoukville, Cambodia's largest seaport. The highways in Phnom Penh extend in all directions, and there are seven national highways leading to all parts of the country and its neighboring countries.
