Panlong Cave in Yunfu, Guangdong: In an unknown town, there is a unique "wonder" in China.
Daily life in Panlong Cave
1
As early as 1985, it has been developed into a scenic spot, and the tickets for 35 yuan include the explanation service.
Everyone lined up at the gate, and every ten or so tourists flocked in.
The commentator accompanied her all the way, and she was very cooperative. This photo across just visiting is a model she made for me.

In Panlong Cave, there are only three wonders in China and even the world: gem flowers.
This kind of "cave flower" grows on the rock wall at the top of the cave, with jade bone ice muscles and proud thorns.
This flower has two nicknames:
One is called Love Flowers that Never Fade. Because it is white and crystal clear, extraordinary and refined, it has been immortal for hundreds of thousands of years and stands on its own feet in the world. In people's minds, this is the most appropriate symbol of eternal love;
Another name is "Flowers that make Newton angry". Because some experts pointed out that the growth of gem flowers is not restricted by gravity.
It doesn't go down vertically like other stalactites, but clings to the rock wall and blooms in all directions.
I shot the longest group, about half an arm. It has been 350,000 years, and it is still alive, growing at the rate of 1cm every 10,000 years.
Because of the gem flower, Panlong Cave is praised as one of the "three largest stone flower caves in the world" by the World Cave Association, and the other two are as far away as the United States and Turkey. Because of the gem flower, Panlong Cave also won the reputation of "the only one in China".

There are many stones in Panlong Cave, which naturally resembles a bodhisattva.
At first, we mistakenly thought that these were put up artificially. In the depths of a cave, one or several Buddha statues sitting cross-legged stand in the hollow, endless.
Yunfu is mountainous and has developed stone arts. During the development of the quarrying industry for more than 400 years, from the early days, the stone carving images were mostly Maitreya, Guanyin and other figures with China traditional culture.
So in a sense, Panlong Cave is also like a "Buddha Cave", where many good men and women come to pray for peace.

Among the dozens of cave attractions I have visited, Panlong Cave is not the most beautiful, but it is of great archaeological research value.
In 1980s, archaeologists discovered 23 kinds of ancient animal bones and human teeth fossils over10.70 million years old in this cave. They are called "Panlongdong people".
In Yunfu Museum, there is a small exhibition hall specially prepared for Panlong Cave, which shows its precious value.

Panlong Cave is the only "A" scenic spot in Yunfu City (as far as I know) that charges.
This seemingly unremarkable 3A scenic spot has triggered my new thinking and understanding of such things as "scenic spots"-
From now on, I shouldn't just define whether a scenic spot is worth going by the number "A" in front of its name.
The vast world is full of smoke and waves, and the formation of every cave is a masterpiece of nature.
For a drop in the ocean, the real scenery in front of us for hundreds of millions of years is more real than the so-called "eternity". How lucky we are to feel the world freely in this limited life. Can this personal experience be measured by money?
The appearance of Panlong Cave
My impression of Panlong Cave is actually different from that when I was outside the cave.
Yunfu City is mountainous with extremely dense vegetation.
This overwhelming sense of maturity and richness is by no means the greening of human beings, but the product of nature's makeup for hundreds of millions of years.
Judging from the fossils of buffalo and water deer unearthed from Panlong Cave in Yunfu, it was once a shallow grass swamp with abundant aquatic plants about 10 million years ago. According to the formation law of karst caves, there must be abundant groundwater here.
In China, most of the most famous caves are concentrated in Guangxi, and Yunfu is located near the water tower.
It is adjacent to Wuzhou, Guangxi, and many natural scenery is similar to Guilin's karst landform. The Panlong Cave in Yunfu is also a typical karst cave. However, the gem flowers in Panlong Cave can't even be found in the Seven Star Rock in Guilin.
The overall area of Panlong Cave is not large, and the length of the sightseeing part is 528 meters. The overall terrain trend is like a flying dragon in the air.
Like other caves, Panlong Cave has many vivid landscapes. According to the different shapes of stone bodies, they are also given strange names, most of which are related to "dragon".
In the eyes of an ordinary tourist, these stones look different from ordinary caves.
Stalactites in other caves mostly grow vertically in an appropriate way, after hundreds of thousands of years, until they grow thick and long;
The stalactites in Panlong Cave in Yunfu grow "divergently", not "one", but one, one and one.
They are more like shells, crystals and tents. ...
Some of them are sloppy, just like the robot knocked down in Terminator, sticking to the ground, pulling the silk and struggling to stand up …
Some "gravel heads" grow low in patches, accompanied by colorful light flowing out of the nebula, just like a cosmic blockbuster from a cross star.
There are also many small pits on the stone wall, just like the wormholes in the documentary, which are covered with "mutant eggs".
In addition to gem flowers, there are several stones in Panlong Cave that can be called wonders.
(1), jade umbrella account. There are no crowded tourists and noisy voices. Looking at it quietly and carefully, it is really as pure as the white gauze in the wedding room.
2. Seven fairies. Seven naturally occurring stalagmites are located next to the "Kowloon Corridor" in the middle of Panlong Cave.
Not far from the "Seven Fairys", it is "Golden Dragon Zhan".
The stone walls of these two landscapes are processed by electronic projection technology. On the one hand, they tell the legendary story of the seven fairies, and on the other hand, the "Golden Dragon" flies into the fairyland of the Dragon Palace Yaochi in the aquarium.
3. Dinghai Shenzhen.
Compared with the giant column I saw in the "largest single hole in Asia" before, the "needle" of this Panlong hole is obviously much lower. But it is more special. It is made up of several "needles".
Perhaps the Old Dragon King didn't want the Monkey King to know which one was the real gold hoop, so he made a "real gold hoop" to confuse Po Hou.
(4) Waterfalls of glaciers.
When approaching the exit, looking down from the high revolving door, it is a "deep valley", and the stone wall on one side is magnificent, like a snowy mountain sanctuary. Under the flickering light, "snow" has not melted for a long time, and it is white and pure.
Many stalactites and rocks I saw in Panlong Cave were white and not dyed. People seem to be more willing to give them names of love. In my opinion, they represent the town itself-
Yunfu, which is more than 0/00 kilometers away from the first-tier city/KLOC-,is a rare clean town in Guangdong Province that is not polluted by flashy gas.
postscript
Panlong Cave can be said to be the best scenic spot in Yunfu, located on the Lion Mountain near Panlong Lake in the city center.
Go along the park and you will see the hole.
The first cave is divided into three layers, the upper layer is the "paradise cave", where human and animal bone fossils are found; The Kowloon Corridor in the middle floor is the most concentrated part of the landscape. The ground floor is an underground river.
But so far, this underground geyser is not open to tourists. In the past, the underground river here was very unstable. Just like a child's small temper, it is usually a "cat" in a cave. It will only come out when it is emotional, which will make it lose its temper and wash it away. In the long run, it will erode such a special cave and stone group.
