British director Danny Boyle will direct Fox Searchlight Company filmed "127 Hours", which is adapted from a true story and tells the story of Aron Ralston, an American mountaineer who broke his arm and saved himself.

In May 2003, while climbing in a canyon in Utah, American mountaineer Aaron Ralston was trapped for 5 days and 5 nights when his right arm was pinned down by a rock. In order to escape, he endured severe pain. It was so painful that it took more than an hour to break the radius and ulna. He used his sports shorts as a temporary tourniquet, and then used a knife to cut off his right forearm from the elbow. After escaping from the rock, he used superhuman perseverance to climb through the narrow and windy canyon in order to fight against the blood loss. He rappelled down to the 60-foot-deep canyon. After walking another 5 miles, he met the rescuers and finally survived.
