On May 20, 2017, Dali held its first marathon. With the warm invitation (hookup) from my friend T who works in Dali, he overcame the difficulties and sacrificed his weekend parent-child time to catch up. Another brother D, who was warmly invited (lied), arrived in Kunming one day in advance and was waiting to drive to Dali with me.

On May 19, as soon as the plane landed, Brother D was waiting at the exit. The first thing I did when I saw him was to raise my phone, take a photo and send it to Brother T to report that he was safe. I also imitated a leader who raised his hand to say hello. The 24-year-old friend is very happy every time we meet and talks non-stop. It takes about two hours to drive to Weichu and have lunch at Shancai Kingdom in the ancient town. By the way, Brother T was really considerate and recommended a good restaurant.

As a Yunnan native, he introduced me to the customs of the Yi people. After lunch, he counted four kinds of wild vegetables and mushrooms, which he ate for the first time.

After lunch, two friends took some photos and prepared to drive to the ancient city of Dali. When I walked to the parking lot, I received a message from Brother T. He said that you will arrive in Dali Ancient City in two hours.

Our car drove to the Dali Ancient City Expressway intersection, and a handsome man named T in a suit and leather shoes was already waiting on the roadside. According to the plan, the group visited Qingyitang - Yunnan Baiyao sanitary napkin production base.

I went to Dali four years ago, and it felt completely different from this visit again. Dali transformed, and I reinvented myself. Thanks to my two positive friends, you are surrounded by scenery.

The hotel is also very attentive. Breakfast was prepared for the three marathon runners: sandwiches, cakes, yogurt, apples and nectarines. Of course, considerate Brother T also prepared mineral water for everyone and arranged for the driver to wait at the G Hotel

After breakfast in the car, that is the starting point . Brother D ran a half-marathon for the first time, feeling nervous and happy at the same time. Constantly changing clothes, signing autographs, taking photos, and having fun. Brother T and I both secretly laughed at his stupidity!

Except for breakfast, I was very nervous: I was afraid that Dali’s 2,000-meter altitude would cause me to have altitude sickness while running, and I was struggling. Based on the experience of high reaction in Medog, I guessed the height based on my own feeling which is very accurate. I felt very comfortable at 1900 meters, a little tired from talking at 2100 meters, and felt out of breath and chest tightness at 2300 meters. This has become a talent that I have just discovered. After asking several times about the altitude rise and fall of the Dali Marathon route, Brother T was puzzled and said proudly: We in Dali, we just went up a level to an altitude of 2,000!

The gun rang out, and in less than two minutes, we were already running to the starting point. The marathon in Dali is not crowded. During the first half kilometer, the three of us set off together, with Lijiang Xiao Qian's "I Will Miss You" playing on their phones.

Slowly, Brother D ran to the front, and only Brother T ran with me for five kilometers. These five kilometers are also the most beautiful part of the track: Cangshan Lake and Erhai Lake!

I still like to enjoy the scenery and thoughts brought by the marathon at my own pace, let Brother T enjoy running at his own pace, and let me experience the different Dali alone. I was alone on the road, playing music randomly in my headphones, watching the changing scenery and people on the roadside, and watching the white clouds floating in the sky. Sports bring endless happiness to people and allow me to experience subtle or grand beauty!

The first 1-16km is no different from the Harbin Marathon. The weather was cool and sunny, and the cheerleaders were colorful and enthusiastic. But after 16km, it’s the rush of a plateau marathon: the intensity of ultraviolet rays is too strong, making people feel exhausted! At 16km I started to feel tired, out of breath and faltering on the final climb. I started to give up running and switch to running fast. I told myself that I was here to enjoy sports and participate in competitions, and I was not allowed to wear small shoes.

I walked 3km from 16km to 18km, and then entered the ancient city of Dali. On both sides of the track are the shops I went shopping with my friends last night, and tourists in the middle of the road are also cheering for the runners. With the shade of the track and the encouragement of passers-by, after running 18-20km for 2km, I saw the Three Towers Park in front of me. It was my favorite place in Dali four years ago, and it is also my clearest memory of Dali! Just choose to end it here!

About 200 meters from the finish line, someone handed out a handkerchief and said, "You are so beautiful!" I seriously believe that I am really beautiful! Although you should say the same thing to every girl you hand out! When I picked up the handkerchief and looked up, my two best friends were on the left looking around, still holding their phones! Brother T finished in 2 hours and 26 minutes, Brother D finished in 2 hours and 31 minutes, and I finished in 2 hours and 38 minutes. Brother D is really good. This was the first half marathon, or altitude marathon. Complete the game easily and smoothly! Three of us received the Three Towers Medal made of marble and everything was perfect!

We talked and laughed back to the hotel to wash up and change clothes, and then Brother T from Jinzhou, who called himself Dali, took us to a Bai restaurant: Fengcheng Yizhihua. Eat rawhide and spicy and sour crucian carp there. He said that after the Bai people kill pigs, they tie them up with straw and burn the hair on the pig skin. After the skin is burned, the pig skin will be cooked, and the cooked pig skin is called rawhide. The best shop we have ever visited. The owner is very serious about making raw hides and does not allow others to touch the raw hides. He is the only one who can take the lead. It's a pity that we are late. All the rawhide was sold out that day, and only the famous hot and sour crucian carp was waiting for us. Leave a little regret and a little expectation for Dali next time.

Speaking of the Bai people, there is really a lot to say. I saw that many Bai people’s courtyards are elegant and exquisite, paying attention to details and beauty. They are not much different from those in Jiangnan, which has been prosperous for generations. Brother T said that the Bai people have never participated in any major wars and have been accumulating wealth and are kind and tolerant. Li Mi, enshrined in the General Cave, was originally a general sent by the Tang Dynasty to conquer Nanzhao. After the defeat, he was worshiped by the Bai people and performed temple sacrifices. The Bai people worship heroes and respect them even if they are their enemies! I saw the plaques hung by the locals in the temples saying "Protect the People and Protect the Country". Compared with the so-called stone tablets erected by the government in front of the temples, they pale into insignificance!

The incense in the temple is very prosperous, and General Li Mi is considered the local patron saint. People, officials, entrepreneurs, celebrities from all walks of life, and tourists will come to worship and pray. Everyone brought food and went to the temple to worship the gods and pray. Several minority women prayed loudly. I couldn't understand it, but I felt longing and religious. After worshiping Li Mi, the food was taken out and enjoyed together. I put aside my wishes and anxieties, had a happy dinner, and my happiness index soared.

The mountain is not high, but it is also 2100 meters above sea level. Estimated altitude is 2300 meters. The greenery on the mountain is excellent and it belongs to Cangshan Mountain. From the top of the mountain you can see the whole view of Erhai Lake, Hull and Dali.

Of course, there are surprises on the way up. One is the cold rice, shrimp and melon noodles in the store at the foot of the mountain. Then I passed by the ancestral grave. When I reminded everyone to gather around quietly and not to disturb the deceased, a passerby suddenly rushed out of the graveyard, which scared me half to death. Then Brother T carefully picked weeds to use as mugwort, and was laughed at by passers-by. Take home a hug, it's the most mosquito repellent for my sake! Also, Brother D doesn’t take the usual path when climbing with his bare hands!

It was almost three o'clock when we came down from Jiangjun Cave. Brother T took us to a beer bar by the Hull River again. The scenery on both sides of the Hull River is beautiful, and we were lost in thought by the Seine. We sat there for two hours with three bottles of beer and a raw melon seed. Before I knew it, it was already five o'clock. We drove to the planned meal at Baiyou Teahouse. The teahouse is located in a villa, and there is a fortune tree as high as the ceiling in the room. The tree is indomitable and its crown is not small.

After harassing the Bai friends, the three of them drove back to the hotel, went to the barbecue holy place that Brother T mentioned, and then ate the wrapped tofu and winter melon that I had been thinking about for a long time. . After the barbecue, I went back to the bar in Dali Ancient Town to drink, chat and play cards. It was already one o'clock in the morning when we arrived at the hotel, and the three willful eldest children spent one day turning into two.
