RV trip summary

The difference between an RV and a bed cart:

1. You can really cook and go to the bathroom on an RV, but not on a bed cart.

2. The space on the RV is relatively spacious, while the bed truck is relatively narrow and cramped.

This time we actually used a bed cart for our trip. Everywhere we go, we carry the cooking utensils out of the car to cook.

To be honest, I am not very used to lathes. One is that the space is small when sleeping at night, which makes it feel depressing; the other is that if you need to go to the bathroom, you have to get off the car and go outside. This is really not suitable for me as I get older.

I discovered a fact: from now on, traveling must be in an RV, not in a car. I can't stand the hardship of riding a bed and lathe, and my sister can't stand it even more.

Whether it is an RV or a bed truck, it has the following advantages:

1. Save money.

Because you can live in the car, and you can also cook in the car or next to the car. Then save on accommodation fees.

And what about food expenses? Everyone knows that when you eat in a restaurant, the profit is at least 50%, so you save at least half of the food expenses. And you can also eat delicious meals.

For example, when I went out this time, in addition to having porridge every morning, I drank various delicious soups made by these Cantonese people for lunch and dinner, such as corn and Huaishan pork rib soup, corn and Huaishan pig's feet soup. , Pork belly Huaishan corn soup, old hen soup, old duck soup, fish soup and so on.

Not to mention the braised dishes, the old rich man has them all at his fingertips, such as twice-cooked pork, braised pork, braised goose, sweet and sour pork ribs, etc., which makes me who don’t eat much meat at home. People also move their index fingers and have a great appetite. As the saying goes, more people means more food, haha! !

So this time I learned a lot of ways to make soup. If you feel unwell, you can make various soups to nourish yourself. Cantonese people are very knowledgeable about health preservation!

2. Convenience

We usually park in the parking lot of the scenic spot. In this case, you can enter the scenic spot as early as possible in the morning, saving time on the road, which is very convenient. In fact, we live in the scenic spot! Moreover, it feels really beautiful to do morning exercises in the scenic area early in the morning!

3. Cultivate relationships and have more fun

Several people, in the same car, get along day and night, eat and sleep together, and soon become like a family. No matter where you come from, generally speaking, when it comes time to break up, everyone will feel reluctant to leave.

It’s like a small group and it’s fun. The ancients have long said that happiness alone is not as good as happiness among everyone. Everyone is like a temporary small family together, cooking together, eating together, and then going out to play together. Isn’t this very lively? Very happy? Especially for the elderly, being together in a small group will feel very warm.

So this is the biggest advantage of living together for retirement.

In fact, when people interact with each other, they only do those things, such as cooking and washing dishes, cleaning the room, and going to scenic spots together.

So everyone should have a small meeting at the beginning to get acquainted with each other’s things that they are good at. For example, if you can cook, then you will be a chef; I like to be clean, then I will be responsible for washing dishes; if you are good at tidying up, then you will be responsible for keeping the car clean and tidy; she likes shopping the most, okay, shopping. Leave it to her.

Comrade driver is very hard-working, so he is responsible for all matters related to driving, and I won’t bother him with anything else.

Of course, you also need a planner. You need to plan your itinerary in advance every day: Which attractions will you go to the next day? How far to travel? Probably where to park, cook, etc. So this position is also very important.

What is my responsibility in this small group?

Washing dishes haha, the most inconspicuous job. But I also work very seriously.

In fact, in our small group, everyone wears multiple hats, so that we can happily start our trip.

When everyone plays together, the key is to think about each other and be considerate and take care of others. Only in this way can we get along happily. Otherwise, the group will break up soon.

To be honest, China’s travel environment is not ready for RV travel. Why do you say that?

We know that no matter where we live, there are two things that are absolutely inseparable, one is water and the other is electricity. However, many parking lots in China (or by Fengyu Bridge) do not meet these two conditions at the same time.

Some parking lots are well built and you can buy electricity and water by swiping your card. But most parking lots are just parking lots. Therefore, the RV can only be parked in places where water and electricity are possible, such as next to the bathroom. But if you do this, you will feel a little uncomfortable.

In fact, many parking lots do not welcome RVs. Why? Because RVs use their water, electricity, and bathrooms in vain. Some of them are not of high quality and make the surrounding environment very unhygienic, throwing garbage everywhere. So when I see people in some places looking at us with cold faces, I feel very uncomfortable.

The people in our car are very hygienic. Our aim is: Whenever we go to a place, it will be the same as when we left. Leave nothing behind except your own footprints. Even cleaner than when we left.

Because I feel that if something is dirty, I will clean it up as well.

China is now entering an elderly society. After retirement, many people begin to buy RVs and live in retirement. RVs are not expensive now, and you can buy one for less than 200,000. This is actually a huge market. We met RV travelers from various provinces on the road.

Therefore, if scenic spots across the country can build parking lots that serve RVs, not only will the parking lots themselves have an income, but it will also make RV travelers live more comfortably. Seniors living on the road have a more comfortable senior life. I think this can be regarded as a sunrise industry.

Another point is that because RVs are generally taller than ordinary cars, they cannot go to many places in the city and cannot be parked in underground parking lots. National policies stipulate that there are many restrictions on RVs entering the city. This virtually limits the pace of RV travelers.

Don’t know what improvements can be made in the future?

What to do? This time has just ended and I'm looking forward to the next one!
