Tickets: Book on the official mini program of the "Forbidden City Museum", enter your ID card information in advance, and be sure to grab the tickets at 8pm 7 days in advance, and swipe several times! Tickets are 60 yuan/person, remember to bring your ID card to check in! Transportation: The ticket gate is at the Meridian Gate. The nearest route is to enter from Donghua Gate. Turn left and walk along the moat for about 15 minutes to queue up at the Meridian Gate to check in tickets.

Take a taxi - directly locate the point near Donghuamen;

Subway - Exit C of Jinyu Hutong Station on Line 8, turn right after exiting the ground towards Donghuamen, you need to walk 30 minutes, you can also ride a bicycle to save time from the exit of the subway station to Donghua Gate;

Visiting process

Meridian Gate → Wenhua Hall → Taihe Gate → Taihe Gate Harmony Palace→Zhonghe Palace→Baohe Palace→Qianqing Gate→Cining Palace→West Sixth Palace→Kunning Palace→Qianqing Palace→East Sixth Palace→Clock Hall→Nine Dragon Wall→Treasure Hall→Imperial Garden→Shenwu Gate? The Forbidden City closes at 17:00 and will be cleared in advance. The Treasure Hall and other venues will also close early at 16:10. Be sure to plan your time in advance~

The main attractions are as follows: the Hall of Supreme Harmony: the central building of the Forbidden City , a place where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties held various grand ceremonies and political activities. Qianqing Palace: It was the place where the emperors of the Qing Dynasty and their concubines lived. It is now an exhibition hall of precious historical relics in the Forbidden City. Xuandemen: the main entrance of the Forbidden City, and also the starting point of the "Five Entrances to the Palace". Qianlong Garden: Located on the back hill of the Forbidden City, it is a formal royal garden built in the mid-18th century. Kunning Palace: It is one of the buildings with great historical value in the harem of the Qing Dynasty. Yifeng Gate: The gate on the north side of the backyard of the Forbidden City is used to lead the concubines in the harem to officially enter the palace. Later it also became a place to host weddings. Forbidden City Wall: It is the protective barrier of the Forbidden City and is 3.4 kilometers long.
