Legal basis: Article 11 of the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on Exit and Entry Administration. When China citizens leave or enter the country, they shall submit their passports or other travel documents and other entry and exit documents to the entry-exit frontier inspection authorities, and can only leave or enter the country after going through the prescribed procedures. At qualified ports, the entry-exit frontier inspection organs shall provide special passages and other convenient measures for China citizens to enter and leave the country.
