Guangzhou huadu geographic information
Huadu (formerly Huaxian County) belonged to Panyu in Han Dynasty, Nanhai County in Sui Dynasty and Panyu and Nanhai County in Song Dynasty. In the 25th year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1686), Nanhai and Panyu counties were partially selected. Because the county seat is close to Huashan Mountain, it is named "Huaxian County" and belongs to guangzhou fu, where Hong Xiuquan, the leader of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement, was born. During the period of the Republic of China, Hua County was mainly under the direct control of the province.
After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), it successively belonged to Jiangbei District, Zhujiang District, Peyo Administrative District and Foshan District. April 1960 was designated as a county in Guangzhou. 1June 8, 1993, with the approval of the state, the county was withdrawn and the city was established, named "Huadu", which was entrusted by the provincial people's government to Guangzhou for custody. On May 2, 20001day, it was approved by the state to withdraw from the city and set up a district, becoming Huadu District of Guangzhou. Under the spring breeze of reform, Huadu is full of vitality, jumping from an underdeveloped area to an urban area with beautiful scenery, excellent investment environment, prosperous economy and modern scale.
Superior natural environment
Huadu enjoys a superior climate and abundant natural resources. There are 18 proven mineral resources; Liuxi River flows east and Bajiang River flows west. Huadu District has a subtropical monsoon climate, with no heat in summer and no cold in winter. The annual average temperature is 2 1.8 degrees, the annual average rainfall 1.753.9 mm, the average relative humidity is 76%, the frost-free period is 365 days, the groundwater level is about 1.2-3.5m, and the annual average surface water flow 1.65438.
Huadu covers an area of 969 square kilometers, with "three mountains, one water and six plains". The mountainous area is nearly 200 square kilometers, with many lakes and reservoirs, including 7 small and medium-sized reservoirs/kloc-0. The famous reservoirs are Zhang Furong Reservoir, Jiuwantan Reservoir, Sankeng Reservoir, Fuyuan Reservoir and Jiyi Reservoir. The reservoir is surrounded by beautiful peaks, with high forest coverage and clean forest appearance. At present, the forestry land area of the whole region is 575,000 mu, accounting for 39.7% of the national land area. Six forest parks have been planned, including Guangdong Prince Mountain Forest Park, Guangzhou Gaobaizhang Forest Park, Guangzhou Jiulongtan Forest Park, Huadu Bushishi Forest Park, Huadu Fuyuan Aquatic Forest Park and Huadu Yajiling Forest Park.
Rich history and culture
Huadu, as the hometown of Hong Xiuquan, the leader of the Kingdom of Tian Ping, has left a deep impression on the winding historical picture. It has historical and cultural tourism resources such as Hong Xiuquan's former residence, Hong Xiuquan Memorial Hall, Feng Yunshan's former residence, Zizheng Doctor Temple, Pangu King Temple, Langtou Villagers' Residence in Tanbu Town, Ouyang Zhuang Folk Residence in Gao Xi Village of Huadong Town, and Yuen Yuen Taoist, the leading Taoist shrine in the province. Among them, Hong Xiuquan's former residence is a national key cultural relics protection unit, which not only has great tourism development value and potential, but also can promote the development of tourism in the whole region and has strong market competitiveness; Now, Hong Xiuquan's former residence-Yuen Yuen Taoist-Minister Temple is connected in a line, and with its rich historical materials, it has become a characteristic tourist attraction in Huadu and even Guangzhou.
Unique traffic advantages
Huadu is the north gate of Guangzhou and the gateway of the Pearl River Delta to the mainland of China, with a rare three-dimensional transportation network of land, sea and air in China.
Guangzhou New International Airport, one of the three major hub airports in China, is located in Huadu. It was completed and put into use in August 2004. The first phase of the project has an annual passenger capacity of 25 million passengers and a cargo throughput of 1 10,000 tons. The largest scale is 80 million passengers and 3 million tons of freight.
Guangzhou North Railway Station, one of the three starting stations of Guangzhou Railway, is located in Huadu, and the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, the artery of China Railway, passes through the territory. The Wuhan-Guangzhou Express Railway Passenger Dedicated Line with a top speed of 340 kilometers per hour has a station in Huadu.
There are also three national highways (105, 106 and 107) and five expressway (Beijing-Zhuhai, Airport, Guangqing, Jiebei and Guangzhou North Second Ring Road) passing through the territory.
Huadu Port, a national second-class port, can directly provide thousands of tons of cargo ships to Hong Kong and Macao, with an annual throughput of 300,000 TEUs and 3 million tons of bulk cargo. At present, it is being expanded, and the annual throughput will reach 5 million tons by the end of 2009.
Guangzhou is speeding up the planning and construction of the subway to realize seamless connection with Huadu. Metro Line 9, which connects Huadu Automobile City with the new airport and downtown Guangzhou, started in 2009 and will be opened before 20 12. In the future, there will be Guangzhou North Third Ring Road and intercity train lines connecting Huadu with the central city of Guangzhou and other areas in the Pearl River Delta.
Flourishing social undertakings
At present, Huadu District has seven towns including Xinhua Sub-district Office, Huashan, Tizi, Shiling, Chini, Tanbu and Yayao, and *** 188 village (neighborhood) committees. At the end of 2008, the registered population of the whole region was 646,200, including 204,300 non-agricultural population and 439,900 agricultural population.
In recent years, Huadu's economic and social construction has continuously reached a new level. In 2008, the GDP of Huadu area was 48.956 billion yuan, which was 66.870 yuan according to the per capita GDP of permanent residents, and the general budget revenue of local finance was 3.099 billion yuan, ranking third in the total amount and growth rate of all districts in the city.
Social undertakings have also developed in step with economic and urban construction, and won successively the National Demonstration Zone for Scientific and Technological Progress, the Third National Excellent City for Comprehensive Improvement of Urban Environment, the National Demonstration Zone for Villagers' Self-government, the National Advanced Unit for Placement of Military Professional Cadres, the National Advanced Rural Chinese Medicine Zone, the National Demonstration Zone for Health Promotion of Hundreds of Million Farmers, the Hometown of Flowers and Trees in China, and the Civilized City in Guangdong Province. In the upsurge of building a national civilized city in Guangzhou, Huadu District is also fully committed and striding forward.
