Reconstruction of ancestral temple in Zhu Ting town

On July 16, 2003, it was learned from the relevant departments of Zhuzhou County that Zhu Ting, a Millennium ancient town in Zhuzhou County, would raise 5 million yuan from the people to rebuild the Buddhist shrine. After the reconstruction of Xiaoxiang Scenic Area, the Millennium Temple will become a Buddhist holy place with the same reputation as Nanyue, effectively promoting the development of tourism in this county and even the whole Zhuzhou.

According to reports, Zhu Ting Ancestral Temple was built in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, with a history of 1700 years. This is a famous Buddhist shrine. There are thousands of ancient camphor trees, Zhang and other places of interest in the ancestral hall, which are listed as one of Xiaoxiang scenic spots. In the traditional Buddhist worship ceremony, if you want to worship in Nanyue, you must worship your ancestors in the ancestral temple in Zhu Ting before you can go. During the Cultural Revolution, the ancestral temple, like many historical sites, was destroyed by a superstitious hat. However, many cultural relics in the temple were left by people at that time. After the reform and opening up, the nearby people and local people have repeatedly put forward plans to rebuild the ancestral temple, but they have been stranded due to various problems such as funds. With the development of tourism, Zhu Tingren saw the role of tourism in the economy. After several years of preparation, the conditions for rebuilding the ancient temple are ripe. Under the leadership of the county * *, the decision to rebuild the ancient temple was made, and the official approval was obtained. The reconstruction of the ancient temple will be mainly funded by the people, and people with lofty ideals at home and abroad will be invited to invest.

Farmers in this town raised hundreds of thousands of yuan and formally broke ground in mid-August 2002. After reconstruction, the ancestral temple will be renamed Tian Xiang Temple. The project is divided into three phases, of which the construction area of the Daxiong Hall in the first phase is 1000 square meters, and it is expected to be put into use in 2004.

It is understood that Zhu Ting Town is rich in tourism resources, and Shili Hailin is famous at home and abroad. Officials from the United Nations Agriculture and Forestry Organization visited Zhu Ting, and Shililinhai has been planned as a provincial forest park. In this town, Longtan Academy where Zhu lectured is also a famous historical and cultural heritage. Zhu Ting enjoys a superior geographical position, bordering the Xiangjiang River, only tens of kilometers away from Nanyue and less than an hour's walk from Beijing-Zhuhai-expressway. After the completion of Tian Xiang Temple, Zhu Ting Town and Nanyue will develop into tourist areas dominated by Buddhist culture.
