Siam Daily News, Singapore, Thailand: On September 26, 2008, more than 90 emergency rescue workers near Phuket Island, Thailand, announced their resignation. They were no longer responsible for any rescue work on 12 local beaches. The reason may be that the current organizational budget is no longer able to support this operation.

This news means that all tourists who illegally go to sea during dangerous wave periods must do so at their own risk and take full responsibility for their own deaths! The rescue mission will be handed over to regular rescue teams such as Baode Shantang (responsible for large-scale rescues such as mountain forests, car accidents, explosions, etc.). With the rescue team gone, there will be no more drowning guardians on the beach. Only English warning signs will be posted to remind you that there is no rescue team and violators will do so at their own risk!
