Famous places of interest include Lajia Temple, Anima Qing Peak, Baiyun Temple, and the Bull Head Monument at the Source of the Yellow River. Lajia Temple

Lajia Temple is located at the foot of Aniqun Gong (meaning: Dapeng spreads its wings) mountain in Lajia Township on the north bank of the Yellow River in the northeastern part of Maqin County, Qinghai, facing east. To the west, it faces the Yellow River, with the Yellow River Bridge built in 1986 leading to the other side. It is 76 kilometers away from Dawu Town, the state capital.

Animaqing Snow Mountain

Animaqing Snow Mountain is also known as Maji Snow Mountain and Jishi Mountain. Located in the Goluo Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province, it is the tail section of the East Kunlun Mountains. The main peak Maqingangri is 6282 meters above sea level. It is located at 99.4 degrees east longitude and 34.8 degrees north latitude. It is a famous snow mountain on the snowy plateau. In Tibetan language Its Chinese meaning is "Grandpa of the Snowy Mountains through which the Yellow River flows". It is also known as the "Four Sacred Mountains" together with Mount Kailash in Tibet, Meili Snow Mountain in Yunnan, and Gaduo Juewo in Yushu.

Source of the Yellow River
