Origin of Lake Zhiga Aru

Zhiga Aru is an ancient and famous mythical hero. He was born in Bijie City today. In the eyes of the Yi people, he is equivalent to the Yellow Emperor in the eyes of the Han people. It is said that Shui Ze, where Zhiga Aru once bathed in his hometown of northwest Guizhou, has become a great god lake, namely Zhiga Aru Lake.

Shuixi Lake (formerly Hongjiadu) is the place where the development of the western region kicked off, with a water area of more than 80 square kilometers, making it the largest lake in Guizhou. Zhiga Aru is a mythical hero in ancient legends, born in Bijie City today. He has an important influence and historical position in the historical process of the Yi people in China, and has a great influence on the Yi people and Yi culture in China. Although the word "Shuixi" in Shuixi Lake is also an important part of Yi culture, its popularity and image recognition are far less than that in Zhiga Aru. Named after the image of Zhiga Aru, it can greatly enhance the competitiveness and communication of Yi culture in northwest Guizhou and the tourism of Shuixi Lake.

Zhiga Aru and Shuixi Lake have a certain historical origin. The ancient books of the Yi people in China, such as the Records of the Southwest Yi People and the Origin of the Yi People, which are listed in the national precious cultural relics in this area, have a comprehensive and rich record of Zhiga Aru and his deeds, and provide academic support for renaming from the perspective of Yi language in northwest Guizhou. According to records, today's Mount Zhiga in Weining is a memorial to it. Riga Aru was born in the sun and the moon. It was all black after birth, and then turned white after bathing in Luozhe River (the source of Shuixi Lake).

Zhiga Aru is closely related to the history and culture of Yi people in northwest Guizhou. Up to now, there are still branches named after Zhiga Aru in northwest Guizhou, such as Naga, Guoyongdi and Dafang Yulong Mountain. Today, there are descendants of Ga 'Aru, such as Long, Lu, Zhang and Chen, living around Shuixi Lake.

After the Shuixi Lake was named Zhiga Aru Lake, together with the ongoing Jiucaiping in Hezhang County, which was renamed Asiri Xishan, and the generous Shexiang Museum, a large framework of "one mountain, one lake and one person" was formed. Together with the rich Yi cultural relics, it will further tap the profound Yi cultural resources in our region, sublimate and carry forward the national cultural spirit of Zhiga Aru, the great ancestor of the Yi people, and build the brand of "China Yi Cultural Holy Land" in Bijie.

As Mr. Hu Kequan said, the location advantage and its own quality of Zhiga Aru Lake determine its important position in Bijie and even Guizhou tourism. From the traffic point of view, it is in the center of Bijie's large traffic network, which is composed of water transportation, aviation, expressway, railways and county and township oil roads. From the linkage of scenic spots, around Zhiga Aru Lake, starting from Hongjiadu, the place where China's western development began, Wujiangyuan Baili Gallery's East Ring Boutique Tourist Area is connected to the naked He Jie-Huawuji-Zhijin Cave in the east and south, Zongxi River-Jiudongtian Tourist Area in the west and Caohai-West. In the north, it echoes with Dafang Shexiang Cultural Tourism Zone, Baili Rhododendron Tourism Belt, Shajing Guanyin Cave, Kejiahaizi, Shuixi Zexi Site and other Yi cultural shrines, forming a large tourist area with organic combination of natural scenery, history, culture and ethnic customs. In fact, all the highlights of tourism in the eastern part of our region are displayed around Lake Zhiga Aru. If we compare the three ancient cities of Zhijin, Dafang and Qianxi with profound cultural heritage to three chessboard stakes, then the chess game they support is "China Ancient Yi Holy Water-Zhiga Aru Lake Tourism Circle", which depends on whether this chess game will be fascinating or not. In terms of specific operation, we can launch projects such as "Gaaru Lake International Cycling Race" and "Gaaru Lake Self-driving Tourism Festival", and then promote them with the help of media columns such as culture, landscape, adventure, photography and folk art. After doing these jobs well, market forces will make all preparations for the tourism of Gaaru Lake.

It is understood that the infrastructure such as docks, highways and customs display for tourism in Zhiga Aru Lake is being promoted. Other buildings and fishing grounds in the scenic area are being cleaned up. Bijie tourism blueprint, including Zhiga Aru Lake, is being drawn intensively. As a recent tourist hotspot, Zhiga Aru Lake will attract more attention with its charming lakes and mountains, mysterious ancient Yi culture and colorful ethnic customs, and shine its due light in the new round of tourism development in Bijie.
