Can I take my DSLR on a trip?

Of course. But traveling with a DSLR is not a good idea. Unless you travel for photography and don’t care about the trouble and weight of a SLR, or you have a shadow boy accompanying you.

For one person hiking or mountaineering, the weight of the SLR and the lens in kilograms is indeed a lot of burden. On the other hand, unless it is the so-called Tianya mirror, the trouble of changing the lens is not small. Sometimes the lens may need to be replaced, and some scenes will be gone even if the lens is replaced.

For example, on Nanzhao Island, when the sun sets in the west, thousands of golden lights are projected from behind Sha Yimu. If you change the lens, the position of the sun will change.
