Taian is one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization. Humans existed as early as 500 thousand years ago, and Xintai people 50 thousand years ago have entered the stage of Homo sapiens; Five thousand years ago, splendid literature and culture were bred here, which became an important milestone in the history of Chinese civilization. Taian has excellent geology and rich natural resources. There are more than 50 kinds of proven mineral deposits, including gypsum reserves of 30 billion tons and natural sulfur of 300 million tons, ranking first in the country. Rock salt is 7.5 billion tons, which is one of the largest salt mines in China. Raw coal reserves rank second in Shandong Province. Potassium salt, potash feldspar, lead soil, limestone and granite all occupy an important position in the province. There are more than 1.5 million industrial enterprises in Taian, and there are more than 1.5 million main products. 1997, the city's GDP reached 310.40 billion. The total agricultural output value is 8.8 billion yuan, and Taian is the main production base of agricultural and sideline products in Shandong. It mainly produces wheat, corn, sweet potato, soybean, cotton, hemp, silkworm, meat, eggs, poultry and fresh water products, and is the main production and transit base in Shandong Province. The total industrial output value is 654.38+03.3 billion yuan. At present, the industry has formed a modern industrial system with complete categories such as gold, coal, electric power, chemicals, machinery, building materials, light industry, textiles and food processing. The traffic in Taian extends in all directions. Beijing-shanghai railway, the north-south traffic artery of China, runs through the north and south. The tourism activities in Tai 'an mainly include the "Taishan International Mountaineering Festival" held from September 6 to 9 every year, during which tourism commodities are displayed and seminars are held. Since 1990, Taian Tourism Bureau has launched a simple farmhouse tour in Buyang. A large-scale emperor meditation ceremony was held in Dai Temple. Next year, there will be a trip to Qishan Gu Song, a trip to Guotai Min 'an, a trip to climb the mountain by Emperor Luozhong Road in Taishan, and a trip to return to nature on Taishan East Road.
