In Dawenkou, the "bridges" are changing

Put your feet on Qilu and look at the Seven Bridges. Seven bridges with different historical periods and different architectural styles have witnessed the changes of the times.

People are no strangers to "Dawenkou Culture". It is one of the earliest birthplaces of agricultural civilization in China, and its history can be traced back to the Neolithic Age, 6,500 to 4,500 years ago.

"Dawenkou Ruins" is located in Dawenkou Town, Daiyue District, Tai'an City. Dawenkou is where the "Five Wen" gather, connecting Mount Tai and Qufu from the north to the south, and built along the Wen River. Historical elements give Wenkou Ancient Town a unique memory.

The longest existing ancient stone bridge in the province

What’s so good about a stone bridge?

Mingshi Bridge is the oldest and most complete existing stone bridge in the entire Dawen River. It is a national key cultural relic protection unit and the longest existing ancient stone bridge in our province. It is well preserved and can be used normally. In 1567, the Akashi Bridge was built and became an important transportation artery between the north and the south, greatly promoting the economic prosperity of the ancient town of Dawenkou. Merchants gathered here, and even Shanxi merchants were optimistic about this prime location and built a Shanxi Guild Hall at the north end of Akashi Bridge for merchants to gather and negotiate business.

For this reason, the ancients once wrote a poem: The Wen River flows backward, and the apricot willows on both sides spit out their fragrance. There are many people on the ancient stone bridge, and there are merchants in the ancient town.

Because this bridge was built during the Longqing period of the Ming Dynasty, people called it the Akashi Bridge. The bridge is 2.5 meters wide, has a total length of 221.8 meters, and has 65 holes. Each hole is composed of 5 stone slabs, each of which is 3.3 meters long, 0.5 meters wide and 0.3 meters thick. The vertical and horizontal joints of the stone slabs are clamped by iron hammer-shaped claws, which are very strong. The bridge piers are built with large stones, and the points facing the water in the east are pointed to reduce water pressure. The bridge surface is flat, but the bridge piers look uneven due to the terrain of the river. In fact, each bridge pier is connected to the stone bottom of the river bed. From the river bed, the lower one is 0.8 meters and the higher one is 1.8 meters.

This bridge is divided into north and south areas according to water conditions and terrain. The north end starts from the southwest gate of Dawenkou Town, and then enters the main bridge by paving a stone surface downhill road of more than 20 meters. From the 32nd hole of this section of the bridge to the center of the river bed, there is a section of rock bulge. When the bridge was built, only the rocks were shoveled and flat stones were paved. The local people called it the Dumb Bridge. There is a 3-meter-wide and 2-meter-deep section in the middle. There are many waterways, and a hole bridge was built here, so that the "Yuba Bridge" is divided into two sections, the northern section is about 27 meters, the southern section is about 40 meters, and it is connected to the 32-hole main bridge in the south. Further south, there is another long raised stone surface, which is flattened as a road surface. This bridge is called the Manshui Bridge.

In 2003, tourism expert Li Geng came to Akashi Bridge and was impressed by the landscape. He believes that in the middle section of Akashi Bridge, on a huge stone on the west side of the bridge base, there is a stone crack about half a meter long and seven or eight centimeters wide, like a knife or axe, which is the natural dividing line between the two countries of Guqi and Lu. This is where the meaning of “Treading Qilu” comes from.

The completion of the Akashi Bridge solved the historical north-south traffic problem at the Dawen River Ancient Ferry. It is also a rare art treasure in the history of Chinese ancient bridge construction and has extremely high cultural relic value. What is even more commendable is that despite the vicissitudes of life, Akashi Bridge is still used normally by local people. As the sun sets, the old sheep herders drive their sheep past the south bank of the bridge, which is like a paradise and is intoxicating.

Only by comparing it with ancient times can the role of Akashi Bridge be highlighted. Before the Akashi Bridge appeared, the only way for local people to get to the other side was to "cross the water on a raft." "Use a large urn, tie wooden sticks and other floating objects around it, and place the people crossing the river in the urn. Four or five strong men who can swim will push while swimming and cross to the other side in the stormy waves." Dawenkou Town Cultural Station Webmaster Cheng Yong explained this.

Dawenkou Town controls the main north-south transportation thoroughfare. According to the "Tai'an County Chronicle": "In the south of Dawenkou, the waters of Huimou, Ying, Shichai, Pan, and Naihuan reach Yuji." Because the Dawenkou River is along the Dawenkou River, The south of the town spans more than a hundred miles from east to west. With economic development, more and more pedestrians and goods passed by, so small wooden boats appeared. The transportation of wooden boats has a larger carrying capacity than the early rafts for crossing water. It can cross the water regardless of the cold or heat, and it is much safer.

With boats and ferries, more and more people and goods are passing by, and the busy scene is like a beautiful picture. Located in the south-east of Dawenkou Town, with a diagonal width of about 1 kilometer, it forms one of the eight scenic spots in Tai'an - the Wenhe Ancient Ferry.

With the development of the times, the number of small boats carrying passers-by or small amounts of supplies on this ancient waterway has become insignificant. Economic development has led to frequent travel between the two sides of the river. The canoe ferry can no longer meet people's travel needs. Therefore, Akashi Bridge appeared.

After the Akashi Bridge was built, the Tea Sheng Village in Ciyao Town south of the bridge set up shacks to sell tea in order to provide a resting place for passing business travelers. Over time, it developed into a large scale with tea shacks forming a patchwork, hence the name of the village. .

"Bridge Museum"

Although the Akashi Bridge solves the problem of traffic congestion between the north and the south, during the flood season, people and goods cannot pass. “In the past, when the flood season came, the bridge would be closed for 45 days, and communication between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait would be cut off.

"On December 10, villager Lu Xixin, who was chatting on the Akashi Bridge, laughed and said that when he was young, he remembered that a villager from Chapeng Village opposite came to Dawenkou for a wedding drink, and the bridge was closed. "It took 45 days for a wedding banquet to become this place. Famous joke. ”

In 1912, the first railway bridge over the Daweng River, the original Jinpu Railway Bridge, was built. At the same time, the Dawenkou Railway Station was built at the northern end of the town, which solved the problem of cargo transportation. From Akashi From the bridge to the railway bridge, transportation entered a modern stage.

The industrial and commercial development of Dawenkou Town also reached its peak. According to the memories of the old man at the warehouse, goods were shipped to Northeast China, Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other places. During the peak season, goods are piled up in the warehouse, yard and platform of the railway station, and there are an average of two trains carrying goods every day and night. This number is many times higher than the previous rickshaws.

“The original Jinpu Railway Bridge was built by the Japanese and Germans. At that time, it was for the purpose of transporting coal from Yanzhou. At the same time, grain and vegetables from Wenkou were also transported away. Cheng Yong said.

It was not until 1958 that the second double-track Jinpu Railway Bridge was built on the Dawen River. At the scene, the reporter saw that the two bridges were less than 100 meters apart, and the double-track was obviously more spectacular than the Jinpu Railway Bridge. "The two railways have solved the problem of cargo backlog and still serve as important cargo transportation and short-distance passenger transportation, with one train passing through every five minutes on average. "Cheng Yong said.

Despite the construction of railways, the problem of people, especially vehicles, traveling during the flood season has not been completely solved. When the flood season comes, many people climb up the railway tracks and travel on them.

In 1975, the Dawen River Jiwei Highway Bridge was built more than 200 meters east of the railway bridge. The bridge is 785 meters long, 8 meters high, and 8.8 meters wide. The Wen River is no longer a natural barrier that hinders the exchanges between people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

At that time, Lu Xixin was only in his 20s and a vigorous young man. "At that time, the commune had 73 brigades, and each brigade had 5 people. I went to help build the bridge, and I was the first to sign up. I work from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., excluding meals, for more than 10 hours a day. At that time, I am energetic and willing to put in the effort. "Lu Xixin said that the bridge was built by ordinary people who lined up cars one by one. As long as they were stuttering and working overtime, no one complained. When I think of those years, I still have a passion.

Follow With the changes of the times, the original highway facilities are far from meeting the needs of development.

In 1988, a magnificent Dawen River Highway Bridge, the 104 National Highway Dawen River Bridge, was completed and opened to traffic. The bridge is 500 meters away from the Jiwei Highway Bridge in the east. It has 12 bridge piers and 13 bridge holes. Each hole has a span of 42 meters. The total length of the main bridge is 546 meters, plus the approach bridges at both ends of 140 meters, the total length is 686 meters. The construction of the bridge solved the problem of blocking the north-south corridor and heavy vehicles, and the development of Dawenkou Town entered the spring.

With the rapid development of transportation, in 2002, at 500 West National Highway 104. Meters away, another magnificent Beijing-Fuzhou Expressway Bridge was built, with a total length of 1,260 meters, two-way four lanes, and a bridge deck width of 28 meters. It is majestic and has a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour. Its traffic capacity has been greatly enhanced.

In 2011, the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed ??Railway Bridge was completed, and Dawenkou entered the high-speed rail era. In addition, the Beitengcun Bridge was completed and opened to traffic in 1998. Looking from the Akashi Bridge, seven bridges with different historical periods and different architectural styles have witnessed the changes of the times. , forming a "Bridge Museum" with unique charm, and also adding a new scene to the ancient Dawenkou of "stepping on Qilu and looking at the Seven Bridges"

The ancient town has a new look

As time goes by, the style of the ancient ferry bridge remains the same. The Akashi Bridge stands awe-inspiring on the surging Wen River, witnessing the new changes in Dawenkou Ancient Town.

At the end of the "Bridge Museum". On the west side is the Shandong section of the Jingtai Expressway, which is the main artery of transportation and economic development in Shandong. It is understood that the reconstruction and expansion project of the Shandong section of the Jingtai Expressway from Tai'an to Zaozhuang was launched last year, widening the two-way four lanes to two-way eight lanes. . According to the construction plan, it will be opened to traffic in the second half of next year. At the scene, the reporter saw that the two-way eight-lane reconstruction has been basically completed, and the construction workers are demolishing the original bridges and culverts.

The high-speed railway is also welcoming. New opportunities are coming. The Ji-Zao (Jinan to Zaozhuang) high-speed railway will cross the Dawen River close to the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway, allowing the cities along the line to develop in a coordinated and integrated manner, bringing new momentum to Shandong’s economic growth. “The geological structure of Dawenkou Town is solid. , most of the surrounding roads and bridges will choose to pass here. "Cheng Yong said that the Dawenkou section of the Jizhou-Zao high-speed railway is undergoing land acquisition. "When it is completed, we will look at the Eight Bridges. "

How to transform the excellent genes of this ancient town into the youthful motivation to start again?

The Dawenkou Ancient Town Protection Project is "based on agriculture, with cultural tourism as the forerunner, and leisure It is a successful test of the revival concept of "experience as the core and Internet technology as the means of comprehensive prosperity model".

There is a lazy open-air swimming pool under the old osmanthus tree, a glass sunroom in the courtyard, a moon tent children's room on the second floor of the new Chinese-style loft, and rose-flavored L'Occitane on the retro butterfly wood cabinet. , Wenhe Stone Fountain welcomes you to the oil painting theme dinner... Dawenkou Town focuses on building a tourist belt along the Wen River, relying on Dawenkou National Archaeological Site Park, one river, four lakes, ten thousand acres of wetlands and other ecological resources to create tourism articles that combine living water and culture , to create the southern gate of Taicheng landscape culture.

Tai'an proposed a change in urban construction from "building on the basis of mountains" to "building on the basis of mountains and rivers". The Daweng River forms "one river and four lakes" on the 26.8-mile shoreline of Dawenkou Town, with a large water surface of 110 million cubic meters and 28,000 acres of wetland.

At the current ancient ferry, a 3-kilometer-long Dawen River linear park has been built, and a "River Center Park" has been built in the middle of the river. People can take small boats to the river center park to play and fish. There are thousands of acres of wetland here, and there are flocks of various water birds. The park in the middle of the river is also the best place to watch water birds.

The water quality purification project of the Dawenkou constructed wetland in the Daweng River Basin has been launched, and the Daweng River once again ushered in a new chapter of development.

At present, the project has been fully completed. The Wen River is now crystal clear and has gradually become a habitat and breeding ground for birds. A beautiful ecological picture is displayed in front of people. Every weekend, fishing enthusiasts from surrounding cities come here from time to time to fish and photograph birds.
