The best time for Longquan Temple Scenic Area: Pingliang is located in the east of Gansu Province, above Longdong Plateau, with complex terrain and diverse climate. Most areas of Pingliang belong to temperate semi-humid climate, with mild climate, distinct seasons and abundant precipitation. Pingliang is characterized by cold and dry winter, windy and dusty spring, hot summer, concentrated rainfall and clear and cool autumn all year round, so it is best to travel to Pingliang in autumn.

Longquan Temple is located on the mountainside of Fengshan, 2 kilometers north of Chongxin County, with an altitude of 12 15 meters. The running water on the mountain oozes from between the cliff walls, forming two springs: one is the dew spring and the other is the pearl spring. On the steep wall of Guanzhu Spring, there is an ancient cypress, which looks like a flying dragon with green scales and claws. It has been winding on the cliff for thousands of years. Longquan blends with each other and the mountains and rivers set each other off, hence the name Longquan Temple.

Longquan Temple is a low mountain and gully landform, with faint green hills, long green waters and overflowing rocks. It is made up of flying springs and beads in a scenic spot with a radius of less than 2,000 mu, which embodies the essence of the loess plateau landscape in Longdong, such as the dawn of lotus, the autumn wind on the plateau, the ancient cypress longpan, the fish in Lingtang, the waterfall beads are afraid of rain, the pond rain and the haze in the valley. It is small and attractive. On the west platform of Longquan Temple, there are 1 Qijia cultural sites waiting to be developed. In recent years, Chongxin County People's Government has strengthened the construction of scenic spots, which not only solved the problems of "three links and one leveling" of water, electricity, communication and roads, increased service facilities and improved management institutions, but also rebuilt the Longquan Pavilion Hall, renovated the Sunshine Building, the mountain gate and the Jade Belt Bridge, and added landscapes such as the Jade Emperor Lingxiao at the top of the mountain, the Longxi in front of the mountain and the rainbow reflecting the sun, making Longquan Temple more beautiful and charming.

In February, 20001year, the National Tourism Administration recognized Longquan Temple Scenic Area as a national AA-level tourist attraction.
