It spans more than 500 miles across Wuzhou, covering Wutai County, Fan Shi County, Daixian County, Yuanping County and Dingxiang County. Taihuai Town in the central area is 90 kilometers away from Wutai County, 0/60 kilometers away from Xinzhou City and 240 kilometers away from Taiyuan City, the capital of Shanxi Province. Mount Wutai in Shanxi, Mount Putuo in Zhejiang, Mount Emei in Sichuan and Mount Jiuhua in Anhui are also called the four famous Buddhist mountains in China.
