This paper briefly analyzes the causes of Asian monsoon, the characteristics of monsoon climate and its distribution characteristics.

There are three kinds of monsoon in Asia, tropical monsoon, subtropical monsoon and temperate monsoon.

Tropical monsoon: high temperature all year round, with precipitation concentrated in summer. Reasons: the difference of thermal properties between land and sea and the seasonal movement of wind zone in pressure zone.

Subtropical monsoon: hot and rainy in summer and mild and rainy in winter. Cause of formation: the difference of thermal properties between land and sea.

Temperate monsoon: hot and rainy in summer and cold and dry in winter. Cause of formation: the difference of thermal properties between land and sea.
