Travel Notes of Wutai Mountain in South Taiwan Province

As a native of Fan Shi, I am familiar with the nearby town of Taihuai. I go to Wutai Mountain several times a year, or accompany guests or visit friends, and Nantai has never met. The backstage roof is completely controlled by Golden Travel Company, and private cars are forbidden to enter. I am lazy by nature and don't want to climb mountains on foot. It seems that my wish to go to South Taiwan Province is still far away. Today, a classmate escorted Fusaiji back to the temple from Fan Shi in Nanding Temple. Inviting us to go together, our long-cherished wish has come true.

I can't drive without a driver's license or because I was drunk the night before, so I take this responsibility. Starting from Taihuai Town, heading for Wutai County, along Panshan Highway, all the way twists and turns, and sometimes the mountains and rocks roll down and leave with fear. At the west entrance of Wutai Mountain Scenic Area, Sancha Road will officially start to climb the south platform along the left hand direction.

The south terrace of Wutai Mountain is located at 12km south of Taihuai Town, with an altitude of 2489m, which is the lowest among the five terraces and the most beautiful natural landscape, with a top area of about 14000 square meters. Nantai Mountain is steep, with bright green smoke, splendid flowers, dense mountains and colorful colors, so it is called "Jinxiu Peak". It's still a winding mountain road, but the dense vegetation covers the exposed rocks and there is no danger of rolling down. After several days of heavy rain, although the road is muddy, the flowers and trees on the mountain are getting greener. The pine and cypress with dense virgin forest are tall and lush, covering the sky. The thick black soil of pine needles on the ground is breathable and water-retaining, full of fertility and pregnant with new life. Hovering, the worse the road conditions, the harder the car crawled in the bumps. Walking, unconsciously, the dense forest disappeared. Above the forest, there are abundant vegetation and lush grass, and occasionally there are clusters of white and yellow flowers in full bloom. Groups of yellow, black, yellow and white, black and white cows appeared on the hillside. When they saw the car coming, the calves were laughing, and the cows were lying or standing, or pacing leisurely, or stopping in front of the car to look at us curiously, as if they were the owners here, and we uninvited guests who rushed in silently protested. Clear plant signs remind us that we have entered the Millennium alpine meadow in Nantai.

The south platform does not pull out, and the closer it is to the top of the platform, the more gentle it is. But on the muddy mountain road, the deep rut marks pressed by the truck are mixed with rugged rocks, which makes it more difficult to push the car. It has been crawling slowly along the gentle slope. At the top of the platform is a large clearing, about a mile big. The top of the platform is like an inverted algae bottle, with a big top and a small bottom. At the top of the platform, there is a temple named Fusaiji, which was built in the Sui Dynasty, rebuilt in the Northern Song Dynasty and later repaired by later generations. Fusang Temple is a courtyard layout with two entrances. From south to north on the central axis, there are Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall and Houdian (Ancient Buddha Hall) in turn. On the west side, there are the Dizang King Hall, Guanyin Hall, Manjusri Cave and Pu Xian Pagoda. In the east, there are monasteries and guest rooms. In recent years, there are some newly-built courtyards on the east side, such as Wuguantang and Monk's Courtyard. There are three anterooms in the temple for Maitreya Buddha. The five halls are Manjusri Hall, in front of which there are Manjusri statues. There are three caves in the back hall, in which there is a stone Buddha and two bodhisattvas. Among them, the stone Buddha statue in Pu Xian is a relic of the Song and Yuan Dynasties, with fine workmanship and simple colors. There is a stone pagoda in the east of the temple, named Pu Xian stupa, which looks like a relic before the Yuan Dynasty. Tower height 16 meters, 7 floors in total, the upper part is bottle-shaped, the middle part is covered with lotus petals, and the lower part is carved with people, horses and dragons. The tower is made of wood and covered with bluestone. Climb to the top of the tower along the spiral stairs in the tower, and the scenery of Nantai is panoramic.

Today, the weather is exceptionally sunny and the visibility is very good. Standing in front of Mount Fusaiji, I looked at it from a distance, feeling that all other mountains were short under the sky ... Looking around, the mountains were rolling and reaching the depths of white clouds. Around the top of the platform, the clouds are around and the wind is blowing. If the clouds are flying horses, they will rush to the top of the platform. The wind blew away, and it was as light as a fairy, dancing outside the mountain. Just like Kou Lao Xi's son climbed Huashan Mountain, "only the sky is above, there is no mountain harmony, the red sun is coming, and the white clouds are low." Nantai, also known as Huaxian Mountain, is famous for its wild vegetation, and the top of the platform is like a fairyland. Fiona Fang, the peak of this mountain, is flat and wide, just like a soil terrace. Flowers and weeds covered the whole mountain, like a green carpet. Every summer, the mountain flowers are in full bloom and colorful, just like an ocean of flowers. There are more than 300 kinds of red dandelion flowers, purple lilac flowers, white fennel flowers, golden dandelion flowers and light blue star flowers, many of which we simply can't name. Of course, the most distinctive flowers are Trollius chinensis and Papaver nudicaule. On the ventral surface of Trollius chinensis, the petals are thick and flat, and they become flowers one after another. Picking this flower and drying it in the sun, with green tea, is the famous Jin Lianhua tea, which is used for soaking and refreshing; Wild poppies are yellow, transparent and intoxicating. It is held high by a long thin stem and gently shaken by the breeze, so elegant and elegant. All kinds of flowers mix with each other to form jumping colors. Those who provoke them are in a good mood and can't control themselves. They rushed into the grass, hugged the grass and kissed the flowers. Sousou's cool breeze makes people feel refreshed, like a mirror, with dust-free feelings, or rhetoric or nonsense, all from the heart; The Sanskrit sound floating in the distance, like the old man mumbling and reciting repeatedly, is refreshing and infatuated, as if the soul has been out of body experience and forgotten everything in the world, and people have entered the Buddha. ...

We wandered on the top of Nantai, unwilling to leave for a long time. When you see a cloud around your waist, the fog slips your hand, holding a thick fog in your hand, and picking a cloud in your backhand, if you learn the secret from Bodhi's ancestor, you will have the ability to walk on clouds and fog. After a while, the clouds gathered thicker and thicker, and it seemed to rain heavily. For the sake of safety, we had to leave the top of Nantai Mountain in a hurry. On the way down the mountain, rabbits scurried about and calves ran wild. Only one Buddhist took his time and went to Nantai in three steps. You can see the rainbow without experiencing wind and rain. It seems that only this devout Korean can see the rainbow after the rain in Nantai.
