First, the development of Wangtai

Larvae have been feeding on royal jelly for about 5 days, and after 8 days, pupae will emerge into bees. The new queen bee will not fully mature until 3 days after leaving the house, and will recognize the nest and fly 4-5 days after leaving the house. After that, she will leave the nest to mate with the drone when the weather is fine, and begin to lay eggs 1-3 days after mating.

Second, the time of dividing bees

6 ~ 7 days after sealing is the best time to release bees artificially. There are two main reasons. One is the idea that the bee colony itself has a strong bee distribution at this time. The other is that at this time, the development of the new queen bee on the queen platform has matured. If the new queen bee in the queen bee station is released manually too early, it is easy to die because of improper heat preservation. If the artificial bees are distributed too late, the bee colony may have naturally distributed.

Third, the method of dividing bees

The biggest problem of artificial bee separation is that it is easy to return to bees after bee separation. The solution is to form a new bee colony with the old queen bee and the new worker bee. The specific operation is to raise all the new worker bees in the colony within 8 days, form a new colony with the old queen bee, and leave the original hive to the remaining old worker bees and the queen bee platform that will leave the house (only one queen bee platform with the best quality is reserved, and all other queen bee platforms can be destroyed).

1. The best time to manually divide bees is when Wangtai tends to mature. At this time, the bee colony itself has a strong idea of dividing bees, so it can stabilize the bee colony more quickly after artificial division.

2. It is better to use new worker bees to form a new colony for artificial bee distribution, because the newly-built worker bees have not recognized their nests and flown, and it is relatively difficult to return bees with new worker bees for artificial bee distribution.

3. After artificial mating, we should strengthen the management of bee colony, especially pay attention to the number of worker bees in Wangtai bee colony. If the colony is too weak, we can transfer the spleen from other colonies.
