Where is suitable for growing rice and wheat?

Rice is planted in paddy fields in the south, mainly distributed in subtropical and tropical areas of China, and also planted in the northeast. However, due to the low temperature, the ripening system is only once a year, while in the south, it is two or three times a year.

General heat resources ≥ 10℃ and accumulated temperature of 2000-4500℃ are suitable for planting one-season rice.

The temperature of 4500 -7000℃ is suitable for planting double cropping rice.

5300℃ is the safe limit of double cropping rice.

Three-season rice can be planted above 7000℃

Growing wheat in dry land requires relatively little water.

Spring wheat is planted in very cold places in winter. Because winter is too cold to sow, it is planted after spring, which is called spring wheat. Winter wheat is planted in warm places. Sow in winter and harvest in summer. For example, spring wheat is planted in Northeast China, and winter wheat is planted in North China and its south.

Winter wheat should be sown in autumn and harvested in late spring. In China, it is generally bounded by the Great Wall, with spring wheat in the north and winter wheat in the south.
