How to raise bees well and how to improve the technology of bee breeding?
First, we must do a good job in spring feeding management. There is a saying in agricultural production that "a year's plan lies in spring", and so does beekeeping. Bees breed well in spring, and there is hope and guarantee for a year's harvest; When the weather is good, pulp, honey and flour will have a high yield and harvest; You can harvest royal jelly even if it is rainy. Generally speaking, the large group of 160~ 180 is suitable for family beekeeping, no matter where it is or where it moves. Even in the years when honey is not harvested, the income from royal jelly alone is enough to feed the whole beekeeping farm. How to do a good job in spring reproduction? Here are four suggestions: (1) add spleen to expand the nest in time. Since mating in spring, every queen bee has been tightly packed in a frame when her spleen is tense. This is the so-called "single spleen nourishing", which is suitable for both north and south. In order to breed in early spring, bees must be artificially supplemented with pollen. Worker bees will get excited when they eat fresh artificial pollen, and they will actively secrete royal jelly to feed the queen bee, prompting the queen bee to lay eggs faster and faster. In the first frame of reproduction, keratin and spleen with artificial pollen should be added to induce labor, and a blank space should be left for the queen bee to lay eggs. Add the second frame of spleen after the first frame of spleen cover, and then add the third frame after the second frame of spleen cover. After the third spleen cover comes out, you can join the nest spleen full box. The nest box should be added to the single king frame 7, the double king frame 8, and the honey flow period.
(2) Supplementing protein feed to enhance the physique of bees. Bee farms that are not well fed in spring need to be supplemented with protein to feed bees, and protein can be supplemented with eggs to feed bees, which will be obviously improved after three days of feeding.
(3) do a good job in spring breeding and raise a strong group. If the bee colony is not very strong in the first honey source period of rape, then the bee farm with the number of bees below 5 kg per bee colony should focus on reproduction, so don't rush to harvest. Rape is in full bloom and rich in natural honey powder, which is a good season for bees to breed. Add one to the nest base every three days, and by the end of the rape period, it will become the spleen cover.
(4) Strong groups have high-yield skills. Many beekeepers mistakenly think that the queen bee lays more eggs, and bees should take care of feeding larvae and control the queen bee to lay eggs without going out to collect honey; In fact, only in early spring, when a strong colony of bees is bred and a large number of bees are collected, can a bumper harvest be achieved in the honey source period with clear weather. In the early stage of honey flow, it is necessary to properly control the amount of eggs laid by the queen bee, about 10 days, and build more new spleen to let the queen bee lay a lot of eggs in the high honey flow period, which can improve the enthusiasm of worker bees to collect honey. In order to produce more beeswax, some people will cut off the fat spleen every time they take honey, which will also greatly affect the amount of honey collected.
Second, we must do a good job in controlling mites in bee colonies. Bee mite is the most important pest of bees, which seriously harms bees and affects production. There are two effective measures to control mite damage: (1) eliminating giant bee mites. While feeding the overwintering feed, spraying acaricidal liquid to treat the overwintering wasp mite. Be sure to feed the bees with sugar water before spraying the medicine water, so that the bees are easy to be poisoned and the concentration of the medicine should not be too high. It's best to spray it a few times, and the bee mite will die after spraying it.
(2) eliminate bee mites. Bee mites reproduce faster than bee mites and are easy to treat when they are first discovered. A small amount of sublimated sulfur can be placed on the frame beam. When bees climb over the frame beam, the fluff and feet are covered with sublimated sulfur, which will be carried to each nest room. Sublimated sulfur volatilizes quickly and has a good killing effect on bee mites. If bee mites are very harmful, it is necessary to cover the spleen and large larvae with sublimation sulfur brush.
If spring breeding and mite control are done well, the bee breeding will be more than half successful. In addition, there are some breeding details that can refer to related books or consult experienced farmers.
