According to Weather.com, Guizhou, referred to as "Guizhou" or "Guangxi" for short, is a provincial administrative region of China people. Guiyang, the provincial capital, is located in the hinterland of southwest China and belongs to the south. It is a transportation hub in the southwest of China and an important part of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Guizhou's topography is high in the west and low in the east, which inclines from the middle to the north, east and south, and is known as "eight mountains, one water and one field". The landform of the whole province can be divided into four basic types: plateau, mountain, hill and basin, of which mountain and hill account for 92.5%. With a total area of 176200 square kilometers, it has a subtropical monsoon climate and spans the two major water systems of the Yangtze River and the Pearl River.

The southern region, also known as the South, generally refers to the southern part of the eastern monsoon region in China. It is one of the four major geographical divisions in China today, mainly in the area south of the Qinling-Huaihe line, with the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in the west, the Yellow Sea, the East China Sea and the South China Sea in the east and south, respectively. The length of the mainland coastline accounts for about two-thirds of the country.

Administrative divisions include Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Fujian, Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, Chongqing, Shaanxi, Guangxi, Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macau, Hainan, Taiwan Province and Henan.
