How hot is Henan?

Around 40℃, we can say that all the people we meet on the road are "acquaintances".

According to the statistics of Henan Meteorological Bureau, from June 1 day to June 17, the average temperature in Henan Province was 2.7℃ higher than normal, which was the third highest in the same period since June 196 1 day. The average maximum temperature is 3.4℃ higher than normal, which is the fourth highest value since 196 1. The average surface temperature is 4.9℃ higher than normal, the highest since 196 1.

From June 16 to June 17, the temperature in 49% and 18% of counties and cities in Henan Province exceeded 40℃ respectively, of which Wugang and Shangcheng exceeded the highest temperature in June for two consecutive days, and Zhengzhou exceeded 40℃ for two consecutive days. On June 18, the high temperature heat wave in Henan continued. By June 12, the temperature in most parts of central and northern China reached the high temperature line.

This round of high temperature process in Henan has a wide range of influence, strong intensity and long duration. Why is it so hot? Shi Yan, a meteorologist from China Weather Network, said that due to the eastward movement of the warm and high-pressure ridge on the mainland, the northwest dry hot air mass moved eastward to Henan. At the same time, the southerly wind at the bottom strengthens to the north, and the clouds are scarce, and the temperature will rise rapidly under strong light.

Moreover, the control time of warm and high pressure ridge is long, which leads to the long duration of this round of high temperature and the continuous accumulation of ground heat, which makes the heat "overweight" on the original basis.
