Is it cold in Tibet?
1. Clothes: At present, the temperature difference between morning and evening in Tibet is relatively large, with an average of about 10-26 degrees, but it is relatively better than that in winter. It will be very cold when it is windy at night, and it will still be very hot when the sun shines during the day, especially in Lhasa, where ultraviolet rays are very strong. It is recommended to wear long-sleeved trousers, but be sure to carry a long-sleeved coat with you. There is a big temperature difference between day and night in Tibet, so pay attention to adding clothes to avoid catching a cold!
2. Prevention of altitude sickness:
1) It is recommended to bring glucose, rhodiola and the like to prevent altitude sickness.
2) When you just get off the train, you usually feel nothing, which is normal. At this time, many people think that they are running and jumping, but they are actually wrong. Altitude sickness usually begins after arriving in Lhasa for a period of time or the next day, so remember not to run and jump, not to get too excited, not to shout, drink more water, and not to smoke and drink when you first arrive. You can drink rhodiola and glucose in moderation. Also remember not to take a bath when you first arrive in Tibet!
3) If you are really worried about altitude sickness when you enter Tibet for the first time, you can start drinking rhodiola a week in advance. Many friends have tried it and the effect is very good. You only need to soak for about 20~30g each time, which is very effective for improving physical fitness, strengthening cardiovascular system and relieving altitude sickness.
3. Carry-on drugs are commonly used drugs such as cold medicine, stomach medicine, altitude sickness medicine and band-aid. Tibet sells everything, so don't worry too much.
The ultraviolet ray in Tibet is very strong, so we must not treat it lightly, especially Lhasa, which is a "sunshine city" with high altitude. Pay attention to carrying sunscreen to protect your skin, as well as sunglasses and sun hats. Otherwise, at the end of the day, your skin may be unbearable and your eyes may be uncomfortable.
Another reminder, it is actually very convenient to withdraw money in Tibet, but I suggest you use postal savings. The most convenient banks, such as China Construction Bank, Agricultural Bank of China and Bank of China, also exist, but some small places may not have their outlets, and some county towns often close their doors, but generally have ATMs. Others, such as China Everbright and telecommunications, are not available in Tibet, so you should consider them in advance.
6. If you don't join the group in Tibet, you'd better get a car, which will make you have more fun.
7. You can stay in a family hotel or something when you go to Tibet. It's Tibetan, inexpensive and comfortable.
8. When you go to Tibet, you must pay attention to your words and deeds, pay attention to national unity, respect the Buddha statue, and don't touch it with your hands. Besides, don't touch the heads of Tibetans. This is taboo! Going to Tibet should follow Tibetan customs, such as drinking butter tea and going to Tibetan families. The host will pour butter tea and pass it to you with both hands. You must hold it with both hands, never with one hand.
9. Don't worry about personal safety. Tibet is very safe. There are many armed police patrolling the streets, and there are also many plainclothes policemen, so it is very safe!
