Matters needing attention in substation in winter

Transformer, capacitor, switch and other oil-filled equipment, when the temperature changes sharply, the volume of oil will also change greatly. When the temperature drops suddenly, the oil level of oil-filled equipment may be lower than the operation requirements, which may lead to misoperation of transformer gas protection or equipment failure, resulting in accidents. Similarly, due to the change of temperature, the sealing rubber gasket of oil-filled equipment expands with heat and contracts with cold, and oil leakage may also occur, so maintenance should be arranged as appropriate. Always check whether the transformer section switch, pressure valve, high and low voltage bushing are leaking oil, and fasten and inject oil in time. Strengthen the oil level inspection of oil-filled equipment, find problems in time and deal with them as soon as possible to ensure the safe operation of transformers and avoid accidents caused by development.

2. Strengthen the inspection of outdoor power box and distribution cabinet.

Outdoor distribution equipment is easy to accumulate water vapor and condense when the temperature drops, which will reduce the insulation level of electrical components and cause the equipment to collapse. It is necessary to strengthen the management of direct operations on site, especially the inspection of temporary electricity consumption on site. Some construction units' temporary electrical boxes are not well sealed, so they are wrapped with plastic sheets to keep out the wind and snow. In severe winter, the temperature difference between inside and outside the temporary power supply box is large, which is easy to form condensation, short circuit and collapse. Therefore, we must strictly implement the temporary electricity management system, requiring construction users to use qualified power boxes.

In winter, a large amount of steam is discharged from the production plant, which may enter the nearby switch control box in series, reducing the insulation performance of electrical components. Check whether the switch control box door is closed, whether the fastening bolts are complete and fastened, and negotiate with the production preparation department to solve the exhaust mode if necessary.

3, do a good job in outdoor equipment hygiene, prevent equipment fog flash.

The weather changes greatly in autumn and winter, the temperature difference between day and night intensifies, and water vapor is easy to condense to form fog, frost and snow. If the insulator surface is dirty, the leakage current will increase greatly, which will lead to the decline of insulator insulation performance, flashover discharge and even power failure. In winter, the electrical workshop should arrange personnel to clean outdoor equipment. When necessary, the power company can also ask people to brush the insulators of all outdoor switches with anti-pollution flashover RTV paint (the insulator surface is coated with hydrophobic materials, so that the water falling on the insulator surface does not form a continuous water film, but appears in the form of isolated water drops. At this time, the pollution layer has small conductance and leakage current, and it is not easy to form a gradually extending local arc (that is, it will not lead to pollution flashover), which greatly reduces the probability of pollution flashover.

4. Do a good job in substation management to prevent small animals from entering.

The temperature gradually dropped, and small animals such as mice began to move indoors. Do a good job of preventing small animals from entering the substation in advance, check and maintain the rat-proof door, block the cable entrance and exit of the substation, close the door after entering and leaving the substation, and put in the rat-sticking board to prevent the equipment from collapsing and burning due to small animals. After it snows in winter, check whether the substation leaks in time, and deal with it in time if it leaks, so as to prevent the switch from collapsing and burning due to rain dripping on the switchboard.

5, the motor must be telemetry insulation before sending.

When the production unit overhauls the pump, it is necessary to remove the motor cable. After the overhaul of the pump is completed, the motor cable should be reconnected. In winter, the outdoor temperature is low, and there is a lot of steam emission in the production device area. During cable routing, moisture may enter the junction box and condensation may occur, so the insulation at the cable terminal will be reduced. This happened in chemical enterprises before. The operator of the production plant asked to turn on the pump and ask the electrician to send electricity. After the electrician pushed the switch to the working position, he told him that he could start the pump. As a result, the electromechanical collapse occurred at the moment of startup. Therefore, after the pump is overhauled and before power transmission, the electrician must telemeter the insulation at the switch of the substation, and the power transmission can only be carried out if the insulation is qualified.

6, check the heating equipment in the substation

The rest room in the substation on duty is separated from the high-voltage room and the low-voltage room by a wall, and the rest room has heating. In the past, chemical enterprises also had dangerous accidents of heating leakage and air leakage. Once it is not found in time, water vapor will rush into the high-pressure chamber and the low-pressure chamber, resulting in misoperation of the switch and power failure. Therefore, the personnel on duty should check and deal with water leakage and air leakage in time to prevent them from affecting the normal operation of electrical equipment.

7, aerial equipment inspection

In case of strong wind in winter, the loose trough cover plate on the cable tray may be blown off, causing personal injury. Please check the slot cover carefully to ensure that it is fastened. In the factory area, the lighting equipment on the tower lamp should be inspected regularly. If the connection is found to be loose, the damaged lighting equipment should be repaired and replaced in time to prevent the lighting equipment from being blown off and causing personal injury.

8, do a good job of special inspection tour in heavy snow weather.

After the heavy snow, according to the melting of snow on the surface of outdoor equipment, it can be found that the equipment is a hot spot. Therefore, through the special patrol inspection on snowy days, the hidden dangers of equipment can be found in time.
