Will there really be an earthquake in Northeast China?

Rumors, of course.

Now the weather forecast is not accurate for three days. Who can tell if there will be an earthquake in September?

However, the northeast is located in the earthquake zone, and there is the possibility of an earthquake. There have been earthquakes before, but I don't know when they will happen next time.

The following is a list of earthquakes in Northeast China (after 1900).

The largest earthquake in the first active period was M = 65438+6.5 in the western waters of Dalian in 0922.

The largest earthquake in the second active period was 1944, and the mouth of Yalu River was 6.7.

In the third active period, the largest earthquakes occurred in Yushu, Jilin Province at 1960 and Luobei, Heilongjiang Province at 1963, both with magnitude of 5.8.

The largest earthquake in the fourth active period was1February, 975, Haicheng, Liaoning, with M = 7.3.

The average intensity level of each active period is about 6.5, and only one of the four active periods exceeds the level of 7, two are close to the average level and one is below the average level, so the intensity of the fifth active period may not be greater than the average level of 6.5.

Recent special earthquake events in Heilongjiang province and its surrounding areas;

(1)1998 Since June, the level of seismic activity in Hegang, Shuangyashan and Jixi mining areas has risen sharply. Before and after the deep-seated earthquake, strong gas explosions occurred in mining areas near Yilan-Lan Shu fault zone and Dunhua-Mishan fault zone.

(2) 2001~ At the beginning of 2003, the frequency and intensity of volcanic earthquakes near Tianchi in Changbai Mountain, Jilin Province were the highest since the earthquake network existed, with 2001~1~ about 2000 times in March 2003.

(3) From April to June, 2003, a small earthquake swarm occurred between Zhaoyuan and Songyuan at the junction of Jilin and Heilongjiang, and more than 70 small earthquakes occurred in * * * *. Among them, there were 5 earthquakes of magnitude 3 or above and more than 20 earthquakes of magnitude 2 or above.

(4) On August 16, 2003, after the earthquake of magnitude 5.9 occurred in Balinzuoqi, Inner Mongolia, the small earthquake in this area was quiet for about 1 month, and three more earthquakes of magnitude 2-3 occurred.

(5) At 23: 40 on July 25th, 2005, an earthquake of magnitude 5. 1 occurred in Lin Dian, Daqing.
