Both decoction and ethanol extract can inhibit the isolated intestinal movement of rabbits. The inhibitory effect of dried tangerine peel is weaker than that of adrenaline, but it is more lasting and can be antagonized by acetylcholine. The effect of hesperidin on isolated intestinal muscles is biphasic, first excited briefly, then inhibited.

3. Anti-gastric ulcer effect: subcutaneous injection of methyl hesperidin 100 or 500mg/kg/ day for 6 days has obvious inhibitory effect on experimental gastric ulcer.
